I have to share this with my fellow CC'ers as I know you'll all appreciate it. We booked on the 1/31/09 six day IOS last week during the Thanksgiving Promotion. I booked an E2 guarentee room for $1700 TOTAL for my DW, Myself and my two small children.

 

We got our room assignment today and it was deck 10 1404....a D1 AFT BALCONY!!!! They upgraded our room and gave us an aft balcony! We are so excited! Can you believe that luck??? We feel like we got the deal of the century!

Hey bryan41, we booked on the same deal for the Indy on January 31st, and we didn't get as lucky as you getting an aft cabin, but we also got a D-1 cabin when we booked the E-2 guarantee. Nice upgrade!! :D

Enjoy! We had a JS Aft on Deck 10 on Indy and that cabin spoiled us for any future cabin. Nothing will ever be the same again. ;) We loved it! There was nothing like it.

Wow Keith...it sounds like we both lucked out on this cruise!

 

I honestly was just happy with the deal that we received. ANY balcony for the price that we paid would have made us happy. We were just shocked to see both the location and category upgrade!

When I saw the price for this cruise for a balcony, I couldn't beleive it. I thought that when I called to book it, they were going to tell us that is was a typo and not give us that price, but now that we got upgraded it makes it even sweeter.:D

 

We have had aft balcony cabins on our last two cruises, and just loved them. It's kinda like your own little neighborhood back there with the rest of the aft-ers. Enjoy you sweet upgrade!!

I'm curious if you booked this directly thru RCC? CONGRATS on the upgrade. We have had an aft balcony with a wrap around and loved it. The extra space will be great if you are enjoying the balcony with the whole family.

It sounds like some others were upgraded on this one as well. We just couldn't believe that they put us in an AFT balcony.

You can't book one E2 for 4 people. The lowest you could book in a balcony would be a E1 for 4. Maybe the online agency messed up? ;)

Yes I am interested in guarantees that hold more than 2 people because I would have to book rooms for 2 + 3. I have never heard of a quad guarantee, but maybe they do it on special sailings like Nick?

Not sure what happened but I just checked my receipt and it was showing that I booked the E2...maybe the agency that I booked through made a mistake.

I have never seen a GTY for 4. Just some more good info picked up here. Nice to see that it worked out so well. Great deal. Now if I could just get that lucky.

Definitely call and ask; they do make mistakes.
