Casino - Queen Victoria

We are thinking of booking a cruise in September on Queen Victoria. Could anyone tell us how big the casino is please and does it have lots of slots?

The casino is not very big, but does have quite a few slots, starting 1c up to I think $5.00.

As already said, no it's not very big, probably about half the size of QM2, but big enough for the size of ship, with quite a few slots. I was reasonably lucky.

Thanks very much for your quick replies. We do spend a fair bit of our time there, so need a variety!!:)

We haven't sailed on Cunard before - just Celebrity, PandO and Princess - this particular itinerary caught our eye as there are a few ports on it we haven't yet visited.

Hope we're as lucky as you Ship's Cat!

Glenda, do bear in mind that the casino will be closed in many ports, mostly during the day and depending on sailing times.

 

Compared to QM2 it is very small. The casino bar covers a fair slice of one side and you also have the staircase and clock virtually in front....where the photographers gather on a regular basis, particularly pre dinner! ...try descending that staircase at your peril when they are in full swing! :rolleyes:

 

It is also a haven for those that enjoy a cigarette, so can become pretty busy at peak times.

 

We thoroughly enjoyed Queen Victoria and l am sure that you will have a fabulous time on her.

Thank you Jackie. We've almost decided to book!!!:) The only downside is flying from Gatwick and we're currently trying to get over it!:) We're in Notts so quite a trek, but we've done it many times before.

Looked at the virtual tour of the casino on the Cunard Website - but it doesn't really give much away. Guess we'll have to try her and see.

You will enjoy your time on Qv and in the casino, we always have great fun on the tables and the slots.

 

shame about Gatwick, can you not phone cunard and ask for a different airport and flight, we have always them very helpful in booking our own choice of airline and where possible they fly us to and from our local airport-phone them and ask for the flights dept- good luck

Maybe look at booking an airport hotel with complimentary parking for the night before your flight. I m sure theres plenty of deals about.
