39august Posted January 21, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 21, 2010 On the Summit and Millineum deck plans, there appear to be some cabins with larger than normal balconies. These are class 2A, 2 on decks 9 and 8 and on deck 7 there appear to be 2 cabins toward foreward and 8 toward aft that all show larger balconies. On deck 6 there appear to be 2 class 2C forward and 2 2C aft with larger balconies. Are these deck plans accurate and there really are some cabins with larger balconies? I know that on RCI's Radiance class that is the case but only on deck 7. I believe Summit is similar in design to Radiance class ships?

Had Vista Deck #7175 and yes the balcony is larger than other balconies. The three cabins 7173, 7175 and 7177 have larger balconies. Liked that cabin and area very much. Denny01 Posted January 22, 2010 #5 Share Posted January 22, 2010 Each of the following cabins on the Millennium Class ships (Millennium, Infinity, Constellation, Summit) has some particular benefit over its peers of the same class -- most often an oversized veranda, sometimes larger cabin or nicer decor. Not all of these differences are accurately reflected in any known deck plans. Glencraigs Posted January 25, 2010 #7 Share Posted January 25, 2010 We had Cabin 7049 on the Summit on a re-position from LA to Alaska in May 2007. The triangular balcony was great. Very sheltered allowing us to sit out in the sun most days and enjoy the extra space.

We alway sail CC. I have been unable to find much about C class stateroom balconies. (The only one I did read about was #9230 - That is is already booked!) Thanks : )
Bruin Steve Posted January 25, 2010 #9 Share Posted January 25, 2010 If you want a REALLY large balcony, try to get one of the "Sweet Sixteen"...These do NOT show up on the deck plans...which are not exactly accurate... These are all 2C cabins toward the front of the ship on Deck Six: 6016,6018,6020,6021,6022,6023,6024,6025,6026,6027, 6029,6030,6031,6033,6035... The balconies are TWICE the size of the standard balcony due to the configuration of the ship...#6030 and #6035 are spectacular as they are the aftmost of the sixteen and the next cabin aft from those, the balconies are considerably shorter, leaving an incredible view down the side of the ship... We were lucky enough to have #6030 on one Constellation cruise... If you can find a good photo of the front/side of the ship, you can see what I mean...the lifeboats are recessed into the side of the ship and start behind these cabins on the deck below, so if you look at the photos...and the deck plans of Deck 5, you will note that the ship widens out considerably in front of the lifeboats...Well, on the deck above that, they have extended those balconies ove the wider part of Deck 5 on Deck 6 ...Decks 7, 8, 9, etc. narrow back to the line of the other cabins...so, only deck six has the larger balconies...Of course, this also means the people from Decks above you look down onto the outer half of your balcony...The half of the balcony closer to your cabin has shade, the outer half is exposed... Good luck...
jspirit Posted June 21, 2010 #10 Share Posted June 21, 2010 Is there any noise issue from the deck below in the sweet 16 cabins on deck 6?
