"Onboard Coupon Booklets"

Recommended Posts

Hi, my DW and I are going on the March 30th Island Princess cruise to Panama. We would love to get a bogo coupon or any other coupons someone is not going to use. I will send a self addressed stamped envelope to cover postage. Any coupons we don't use, we will post on CC and pass along to others. You can email me at dogwgn@ameritech.net

Thanks for any help, we would be extremely grateful.

While on the Ruby Princess, we got a booklet.

Initially looked at it as being not worth much. But did find I used more than a couple of coupons.

For example, there was one that allowed us to buy wine at 25% discount in MDR if you bought two bottles at the same time.

There was a discount on a photo and another discount on a DVD that we found useful.

There was a discount on internet minutes but we are elite so did not use.

Maybe a discount on alcohol duty free.

The Shipwide Savings Coupons (the coupon books with the coffee card promo) provided through TA promotions for some 2010 cruises have an expiry date of December 31, 2010; the Passport to Value coupons (which I believe that everyone receives) also have a December 31, 2010 expiry date but no coffee coupon. The coffee cards do not have an expiry and neither the coupons nor the coffee card are ship specific ( as recent as January 30, 2010).

I booked with an online TA for the Mexican Rivera on the Star in April of 2011 and they supposedly are providing me with a Coupon Book worth $240. So, I'm assuming that they WILL give me one and that it will not have expired on 12/31/10. Otherwise I will quite annoyed.

I don't believe you receive the booklet until you board and I highly doubt they will be passing out expired booklets to passengers. They will have new dates on the booklets by then (and maybe more coupons).

The good coupon book ,detailed by previous poster (the one with the coffee card coupon ) is free of charge . Delivered to your cabin by Princess , only "if" you booked thru a TA who was having a Princess "Cruise Sale" . These sales also usually include reduced deposits .

TA's may also discount the Princess cruise fare .

Generally, if a Agency is taking part in a Princess cruise sale , they sell a lot of the Princess product.

Since I booked directly with Princess, I couldn't get a coupon book, so

I bought one on e-bay. It was worth it for the 2 for one coffee card, which me and DH will make good use of.

What keywords did you use when searching? I searched, but did not find anything. Any help is greatly appreciated as I am sailing March 27th and can make good use out of that coupon booklet. Also, anyone else that has one that may be interested in selling, please let me know!

Thanks!:)

Thanks sooo much! I found it and have bidded! :) Although I'm more interested in the coffee, DVD, and casino coupons, my gf is a big fan of the pictures and spa so this book will definitely come in handy for us!!

Thanks again!

We're headed out March 27th 2010 and from the pictures it looks to be good (unless the seller is lying - in which case - I'm a firm believer of what goes around, comes around). Keeping my fingers crossed! :D

I took a look on ebay last night and saw another Princess coupon book up for bid, however, it did not have the coffee card coupon. The seller did disclose this, at the very bottom of the item descriptionl.

Just thought that I'd suggest that you scroll all the way through the item description to make sure the coffee car coupon has not been used,

Was this part of a coupon book everyone received or part of a booking perk you received from your TA or whoever you booked through? I ask based on some folks here saying only some folks get the coupon books with the coffee card coupon in then.

Thank you for any information you can provide.

The Shipwide Savings Coupons booklet which includes a 2 for one coupon for a coffee card, is a booklet only received as a booking perk from your travel agent... and your travel agent only has them if/when Princess has chosen to offer them. Thus, only a small percentage of the Princess passengers has this Coupon Booklet.

There is a larger "coupon book" (I believe titled Passport to Savings) which every Princess Passenger receives in their cabin onboard. The Passport to Savings coupons are merely Princess advertising/promotions... there are really no good deals in my opinion.

IMHO, poor marketing choice by Princess. Have coupon, buy card. Princess makes some money. No coupon, do not buy card. Princess makes no money. Plus there is always the customer feeling like they were treated well by Princess issue, so if only a chosen few get these coupons then customers, again IMHO, may not feel that Princess is treating them as well as they could. Small thing to make customers feel appreciated by the company where they are spending their travel dollars.
