You can expect a VE cabin.

If you book a VE gty you may get a cabin you dont want, but if you actually pick a VE cabin you will get a VE. Its a nice size and the balcony is fair size, with enough room to comfortably sit.

VE cabinson the Eurodam are fairly midship. You will have a regular balcony with two chairs and a small table. The lifeboats will be visible if you look directly down from your balcony. That is, you will see the tops of the lifeboats but the view outward IS NOT OBSTRUCTED. I never found it to be a problem, although some people do. I book a VE cabin because of the location: relatively low and midship.

DOn't think any of the balconies would be considered a Juliet Balcony. I like the Ve location- we usually do VD but it is in the same area- midhsip - good for me and Eurodam is great

The VE balconies are 9 ft wide by 4.5 ft deep - same width as side VA/VB/VC but 1.5 ft shallower. The room is exactly the same as side VA/VB/VC/VD/VF.

The VT have the Juliet balcony.

i'm new to holland america and when I read about the juliet balcony - I did not want one

 

so paid a little more for the ve - there is only a ve guarantee available - you cannot pick a specific room

we are on new years eve 12/26/2010 cruise

 

did not want to take the chance - knowing our luck so paid $100 more total to be sure not to get the "juliet" balcony - when I found this out - I said this is ridicuous to pay for a balcony and not be able to sit outside

Well ... with a VH (or VF) you could get an "upgrade" to a VT with the micro-balconies! :)
