Travelers' Checks

It's been a while since we've traveled with travelers' checks, but we're thinking of using them again next week.

 

Can you still cash them on the Purser's Desk? Is there a fee? We'll be on the Ruby.

You can still use them, still no fee for cashing onboard.

We always carry travelers checks when we're cruising to an area that accepts US dollars. Otherwise we use ATM cards for local currency. But what I like about cashing the travelers checks on board is that we can get exactly the denominations of bills that we want. $1s and $5s are perfect for small purchases and local buses on the islands.
