Equinox - No Sports Bar?

My husband and myself, first timers on Celebrity, will be on the 12/6/10 Panama cruise - 11 nights - one NFL Sunday and two Monday nights. I've read that Equinox does not have a sports bar to watch the games ... icon9.gif can anyone confirm? We've had a lot of fun on other cruises interacting with fans watching the games.

The bar in the casino will be showing whatever games they can access. I definitely watched some NFL there last December. I've heard for really big sporting events they use Celebrity Central and make a fun party out of it.

Thank goodness!!! Not all of us are into sports. Will be so pleasant to watch something different for a change. You sports fans, I do not take anything away from you. You have a passion. Just let the rest of us enjoy something else.

Hi:) None of the Celebrity ships have "Sports Bars". They do have

tv's in the Casino's.....

Now, when it comes to the NFL PLAYOFFS AND SUPERBOWL....they do

show them.....they usually set up in one of the lounges and offer

food and drinks.:) (I have sailed on playoff weekends before).

Now, as for regular NFL games? It just depends. I have seen MNF before

but I think that is because ESPN is part of ABC and that is their main

feed.....not sure if you will get a "regular Sunday game".

Hi.

A few years ago we were on a Celebrity cruise (the Constellation, I think) on the Sunday of the AFC and NFC Championship games. They showed the games on the screen in the Cinema. They brought in food and set up a bar. Great fun.

Are we having a gang going on 12/6/10 Equinox?? I dont see any postings after april 6th Flamingo33417

There is a thread further down for this cruise. You might look ther. I looked at this because I'm a sports nut....however, the SEC playoff game is the day before the cruise, so I don't have to worry about missing the Florida Gators play (win)!!

Looking forward to my first celebrity cruise next year. I have had the same questions. From my review of the threds on this topic, the only bar area on the s class ships that comes close to a "sports bar" is Michaels. But Celbrity restricts the hours and acess to it. It seems they often close it for special parties. Too bad. Head scratcher.

As Lois mentioned, they will put the games on the Casino bar tv. But they put the most popular game on the tv ... so if you're looking for the Bills and there are a bunch of Falcons fans there, don't expect to see the Bills. :p

There's not a whole lot of room at the casino bar for watching TV. Just a few bar stools and that's about it. Too bad X's ships don't have sports bars like on Eurodam. That bar was constantly jumping with all sorts of sports on their many TV screens.
