Rum runners

Hi everyone, This is my family's first cruise. R.C. FOS in May. I have a question-what is a rum runner? I see a lot of talk about it on these boards, but have no idea what it is. Don't laugh too hard, but I actually thought at first that a rum runner was a person that bought alcohol (and sneaked it on the ship for others). Please advise! Thanks

No one can guarantee you can smuggle booze, but these are a better idea than people who used to smuggle booze on in a mouthwash bottle ... ewwww.

I just learned of rum runners within the last week, thank goodness for cruise critic! I will be taking advantage of this lol.:D
