39august Posted April 29, 2010 #3 Share Posted April 29, 2010 Hair dryers and flat irons (I assume you mean for hair) are OK, tho' there are hair dryers in the cabins. So is water. I always take a bottle on board with me in my carry on.

Pocket (or any other) knives (except dive knives which have to be checked), any other kind of weapon including pepper type sprays. There's quite a list of things in the RCL FAQ. BroncosFan2010 Posted April 29, 2010 #7 Share Posted April 29, 2010 I usually bring my hair dryer since I find the ones on board with not enough power to adequately dry my thick hair, but I may try not to this next cruise(s). Since I will be doing a B2B my luggage will be heavy and packed full as it is....

TEXASMUNK Posted April 30, 2010 #12 Share Posted April 30, 2010 Banned????? how do they expect me to keep the kids under control??? Next thing you know, we will be forbidden to duct tape them to the cabin walls while we party!!!!!
zoomerica Posted May 1, 2010 #13 Share Posted May 1, 2010 You know, they don't specifcally list bikes. Perhaps I could bring my BMX bike and they could drain a pool so we could ride a session....lol

Here is the list from the RCI FAQ "flat iron" is another name for a hair straightener Well, herein lies one of the problems of being old. I looked it up and found this. flat·i·ron (flāt'ī'ərn) n. An iron for pressing clothes, especially one that is heated externally, as on a hearth or stove. (It was getting a hearth or stove on board ship that led to my question).:D I said, yep, remember my grandma using one of those (she also had a mangle iron (look that one up :D). That is not grandma in the picture. I didn't realize that it was also used for hair stuff. So, I looked that up. Sure enough. What technology has come to. :D

She looked at me like I had just grown a third head! Oh well, back to watching Spike's Power Block.

Hackpba Posted May 1, 2010 #19 Share Posted May 1, 2010 I bought a case of water at Target prior to boarding and put a RCCL luggage tag on it. The porter at the dock took it with the rest of our luggage and it arrived in our cabin with the rest of our luggage. I will let you know that I only drink water and was not going to go for their riduculous $75 bottled water "deal" but actually I only got through about half of my case over the 7 days! They offer water all over the ship, it is cold, refreshing and convenient.
CptSticky Posted May 1, 2010 #20 Share Posted May 1, 2010 What about an electric shock collar. I don't see it listed. How can I make my DW behave without it?:p
MedicKen Posted May 1, 2010 #21 Share Posted May 1, 2010 If you want candles in your cabin go find the LED ones. they are very realistic and there is no open flame.
MrPete Posted May 1, 2010 #22 Share Posted May 1, 2010 What about an electric shock collar. I don't see it listed. How can I make my DW behave without it?:p It's not part of the dress code. A tazer would work better.

How can I make my DW behave without it?:p They don't seem to have a problem with the whips and leathers!!:D So unlike other lines you can't take wine on board?
