JustUs275 Posted June 28, 2010 #1 Share Posted June 28, 2010 I just received my C&AS membership card, it is in my name. Does my husband need a separate C&AS membership...is there any benefit to us each having a membership? I think most benefits I have seen are "per cabin". I was filling out an online reservation and it asked for a C&AS # for each of us...would I just put my # by both of our names? Thanks! :)
Rare broberts Posted June 28, 2010 #2 Share Posted June 28, 2010 C&A membership is unique to each person. You should each sign up. You will then each get any gift or coupon book and you'll both be invited to returning guest events.

While you are correct in that unofficially, many of the benefits are "per cabin," by each having your own membership, you will get 2 coupon books instead of 1. Also, if your hubby ever cruises without you he won't be considered a member so wouldn't get any benefits.
FLACRUISER99 Posted June 28, 2010 #4 Share Posted June 28, 2010 You should both have C & A numbers.

MCazer Posted June 28, 2010 #6 Share Posted June 28, 2010 What about for kids?? Should we sign them up too? Yes, sign your kids up too, as they get a coupon sheet and a gift as well. My kids are now DIAMOND members at 14 and 12!
swwake Posted June 28, 2010 #7 Share Posted June 28, 2010 What about for kids?? Should we sign them up too?Sign them up, so they will get credit for this cruise in the future when they are addicted to RCCL cruises as adults.
JustUs275 Posted June 29, 2010 Author #8 Share Posted June 29, 2010 Ok - I enrolled my husband (while logged into my account) and created a guest profile for him in my account...is that right? He now has his own C&AS membership number. Thanks! :)
Mass2Cruise Posted June 29, 2010 #9 Share Posted June 29, 2010 C&A Member cards? Never heard of it. My number shows up online and I get the emails and flyers. Just never got a card.
swwake Posted June 29, 2010 #10 Share Posted June 29, 2010 My daughter and husband received C&A cards in the mail just before our cruise. The previous cruise was their first with RCCL and their numbers were used when we booked this one. Maybe that's why they got cards. I have never received a card myself. Bigtex1622 Posted June 29, 2010 #11 Share Posted June 29, 2010 Before I booked I joined the C&A. Got my cards in about 2 weeks or less. Then I booked our next cruise. I thought everyone got cards.
hooked-on-travel Posted June 29, 2010 #12 Share Posted June 29, 2010 Another reason to get separate cards: Your status is whatever is maximum for the household. Let's say hubby cruises on a nice "Guys Week" a few times (yeah more likely the other way around, but stay with me). Hubby gets 5 credits sooner than you, but you both get to be platinum as soon as either of you gets there. HTH :)
