paganwoman Posted July 3, 2010 #28 Share Posted July 3, 2010 I can't wait to sail on her next April. It has been so interesting to watch her being built from the beginning that I feel I know her before I even step on her. I will be watching tomorrow morning (while my husband is sleeping I am sure) Congradulations HAL on a beautiful ship and may all her sailing be smooth.....:)
jhannah Posted July 3, 2010 #29 Share Posted July 3, 2010 Steve (Ship Cafe) reported a while ago that they were about to leave the shipyard. How neat that he gets to sail her out and over to the dedication site.
sail7seas Posted July 3, 2010 #30 Share Posted July 3, 2010 Am I missing something or are we running fashionably late this morning?:( What fun for all who are sailing her out!!! Can't imagine Captain's feelings are he first pulls her away from the dock. What a thrill it must be for him and the whole crew. I'll be watching the Dedication tomorrow morning for sure
galipemi Posted July 3, 2010 #31 Share Posted July 3, 2010 I'll be watching the Dedication tomorrow morning for sure Well, that'll teach me to try to be coherent the morning after a night shift:p I'd have sworn this morning was the 4th alredy:p:o Just call me fashionably early:D I'll miss it tomorrow I'm afraid but am certainly pea green with envy and hope all those sailing the maiden voyage have a phenomenal time! Rare kazu Posted July 3, 2010 #32 Share Posted July 3, 2010 For those that miss it I think it will be repeated on the HAL website as I understood it. Myself, yes I will be watching. Looking forward to boarding in just nearly 100 days. Never done an inaugural anything. It's just the transatlantic, but it still feels special. To our American friends, may i wish you all a happy July 4th. :):):)
