LOL!! I am SOOOOO tired though. It was a 12 hour day......we could have drove to Galveston and got on a ship!:p

For those of you who don't know me or Gypsy 2, we have become BFF's. We met on the Crazies board a couple of years ago, and now we are like Sisters. :D

She lives in Borger and she and her hubby and son met us in Amarillo today. They helped us load up my new possessions that I inherited from my Great Aunt.

Thanks for the help, Leslie, Rick and Ricky!

It will probably be tomorrow before I do my next installment......unless I get a burst of energy here in the next few minutes.

Maybe some food porn would be good to leave you with tonight........

She's my LITTLE BIG sister I never had! And I love her to pieces!! She FORGETS to mention that when I was in the hospital for Emergency Surgery she was the first person I saw when I woke up!! LOVE YOU JULES!!

And we loved helping you out!! I know you'd do the same for me.

But for now...quit moving furniture and finish this review before I get there this FRIDAY!!

Now for the BIG question that I know some of you will have......did we smuggle and was it successful.......yes and no. Yes, we used rum runners and yes some of them made it and no, some of them didn't. I think it's pretty much a crap shoot whether they will or they won't.

would you feel comfortable to elaborate a little on this...just wondering if there were any circumstances that might have caused some to make it and others not. If not....fully understand and I am enjoying the review and the awsome pictures.

We only used Rum Runners, and packed them in suitcases with just clothes in them, put them down by the wheels......so don't know why some were taken and some weren't.....just the luck of the draw, I guess. :)

Odds are that there was something else in the suitcase that caught their attention. The RumRunners are pretty much undetectable...

Monday, First day at sea.

I woke early, which I always do when I'm on the ship. I love to get up early and go get my coffee and walk the upper decks or sit on my balcony and watch the waves.

This morning was cloudy and very windy. We were feeling some of the affects of Hurricane Alex.....so I was told.

I had to wake Mike and Tara up.....they like to sleep late on the ship......but thanks to me....not too late.:p

We had breakfast at the buffet, which works well for us. Everyone can get what they want.

I really tried to be good at breakfast, we had dieted and exercised prior to our cruise and I didn't want to totally blow it.....so breakfast was my semi healthy/low cal meal. Mike pigged out!!

Tara went to Camp Carnival from 9am to 11:30am. I think this was the day that they colored t-shirts.

She loves going and always makes new friends easily.

Mike and Shane decided to hit the gym......I said to heck with that....I didn't pig out at breakfast, so I found a lounge chair and sipped on a Mimosa!!

Like I said earlier, it was cloudy and very windy....so not really a good day for the Lido Deck....but I made the best of it.

After the guys got done with their workout we just lounged around in between rain showers until time to get Tara from Camp.

Oh and they said the gym was VERY crowded.

Then it was Pizza, Hamburgers, Hot Dogs and the Mongolian Grill for lunch......remember......I didn't pig out at breakfast!!!:p

At 12:30 we headed up to the Promenade Deck to the Sushi Bar for the Build A Bear.

Tara has done the Build A Bear on all of her cruises, and we always get her one when we cruise without her....so she is getting quite a collection going.

At 2, she went back to Camp Carnival and we headed back to Lido.

They had the Hairy Chest Contest, then the sky opened up and it poured down rain.

So.....what better to do than.......

Find a barstool

This is what it looked like outside

CruiseIrenesPics095.jpg?t=1278986887

And in between the downpours we found the hot tub to be a really nice spot for chillin' and drinkin'

CruiseIrenesPics100.jpg?t=1278987029

I was really surprised that they let us drink in the hot tubs, in the past they did not allow it.

Now the pool was a different story, had to keep it on the outer ledge area.

We spent the entire afternoon between the Lido Bar and the hot tub and had a great day, despite the weather.

Tonight is our first formal night, and the Cocktail Party.

John promoted, and won, the change to allow alcohol in the hot tubs. It's not like it made any real difference. Previously, you'd have to get out of the hot tub... walk five feet... drink... get back in the hot tub!

It's a good change!

The Captain's Celebration was from 5 to 8 this evening along the Promenade Deck, with $1 off all drinks.

We took advantage of this at the Casino Bar with a few before dinner drinks and some dancing.

I had the privelege of speaking to Captain Francesco La Fauci before dinner.

He started talking about the rough seas and that they were due to some of the outer bands from Hurricane Alex. He told me that it was gonna be a rough night but that tomorrow we would have much better weather......and he was right!

We went to dinner, and as usual it was very good. Don't know what happened, but no food porn from tonight....whats wrong with me???

Everyone was dressed up and lookin' mighty fine tonight

CruiseIrenesPics104.jpg?t=1279027314

Pam and I both dressed in purple tonight, it wasn't planned....guess we both think alike!

And of course our dancing waitstaff

CruiseIrenesPics109.jpg?t=1279027530

After dinner Tara went to Camp Carnival, Mike and I hung out at the Casino Bar and did some dancing and had a few after dinner drinks.

At midnight we went to the Late Night Comedy Show, which was in the Degas Lounge.

It was a good show, however the seas were very angry at this time and it was very rough back there.

Poor Olivia, who gets motion sick couldn't handle the movement and had to leave early.

She and Tina both wore the patches the entire cruise. Tina did fine, but Olivia suffered those first couple of nights.

I told Olivia that the Captain assured me tomorrow would be a better day!

After the show, we picked up Tara and tucked ourselves into our comfy beds......and Mike went down and made his nightly donation to the Casino Bank.

Tomorrow, our 2nd Sea Day!
