Ruby Princess - Good Move?

Just booked an April, 2011 cruise aboard the Ruby. We sailed on the Crown this past March and were thinking about sailing her again but we decided on a different ship - the Ruby. Did we make a good move?

Good choice. She is one of my favorite ships. The crew is great and Generoso, the best Maitre ' D in Princess should be back from vacation. It is one of the best managed ships as well. Enjoy.

We are looking forward to our trip on the Ruby in October. Have the Crown booked for 2012. We have been on the Emerald and CB. We are sure they will all be great.

While the Crown is a wonderful ship, we have adpoted the Ruby as our favorite. We have been on her 3 times and have been fortunate enough to have Captain Tony Yeomans at the helm. If he is the skipper during your cruise, you will find him highly visible.

 

The crew is great. You will love her.

Just got off the Ruby and she is wonderful! Huge ship with over 3,000 people and I never felt crowded. Food is great, staff is very friendly and the staterooms are spacious and beautiful. You made a very good decision!

I did the Crown about three years ago and then the Ruby last Christmas. Both were great cruises.

The ships are identical so you can't go wrong. :)

 

I couldn't tell the difference. But since our itinerary was different (Caribbean on Crown versus Med on Ruby), the ships "lived" a bit differently.

We will be on the same sailing of the Ruby. This is our first Princess Cruise. We've sailed RC for quite a while, but decided to give Princess a try. I'm hoping we made a good choice! It sounds like everyone loves her.

You will find that the Ruby and Crown are almost the same. If you liked the Crown you should like the Ruby. I wouldn't hesitate to book any of that class of ship in the future and would base my choice solely on price and itinerary.

The Ruby was our first(and only so far) cruise. There is no way I could have hoped for anything better than was offered. The ship is beautiful, the food was great and the entertainment was enjoyable. I hope you enjoy your cruise on the Ruby as much as we did.

We sail the Valor next month and are looking forward to trying Carnival.
