klfrodo Posted August 12, 2010 #4 Share Posted August 12, 2010 :D Better yet.... let the ship staff do it. My wifes on vacation too. ;)
bills blasters Posted August 12, 2010 #5 Share Posted August 12, 2010 I already bought some to use on our next cruise. They are so handy and take up no room at all. Better than paying the ships prices for the detergent and fabric softener.

med2cruise Posted August 12, 2010 #7 Share Posted August 12, 2010 We were on the Liberty last week and I tool the 3 in 1 and they worked great. I actually did not mind doing the laundry on the ship, did 2 loads for 4 of us 1 morning. Threw everything in washer ran up on Lido deck laid in the sun, then back down to throw in dryer and back up to Lido deck. It was actually pretty easy. marci4tony Posted August 12, 2010 Author #10 Share Posted August 12, 2010 Well, for those of us that are still attempting to achieve the ALL PLATINUM status...we can mingle with the commoners in the laundrymats between sunbathing! Trying to get those 10 cruises under my belt is a chore when we can only afford to go about ever 2 years, but DILIGENCE will pay off eventually!!
Tbay-eh Posted August 12, 2010 #11 Share Posted August 12, 2010 I throw those dryer sheets in the drawers to freshen up and in empty suitcase under the bed for dirty laundry - I do bugger all when I am on holidays and my family knows it. If they want something washed - do it by hand or you know where the laundry room is. They also a great critter deterent - we use it up north here for black flies, rub it on arms and neck and they stay away - if your hubby likes fresh laundry smell you may not want to use it. med2cruise Posted August 13, 2010 #14 Share Posted August 13, 2010 I had told the family to take enough clothes that I was not washing, but we had some leaks in our luggage and had stains on clothes so I threw in the quick loads. Really didn't mind especially since I was waited on for everything else. Had the dod in between laundry (that don't happen at home).
cruisingirl75 Posted August 13, 2010 #15 Share Posted August 13, 2010 Purex 3-in-1 laundry sheets. I love the tropical scent. Took them on our September 2009 cruise. They take up no space in the luggage. My suitcase still smells like the tropics.:D
luv2cruise777l Posted August 13, 2010 #16 Share Posted August 13, 2010 Great idea about the 3 in 1 Purex sheets! Thanks marci4tony for the heads up! :) Even being a platinum cruiser, I don't send everything out for free laundry so these will come in handy! There are some things I don't want to go into a hot dryer!

grammax3 Posted August 13, 2010 #19 Share Posted August 13, 2010 No laundry for me when I cruise. That is why I cruise, no household chores. By the way, would any of you who so laundry on a cruise, want to cook dinner while on ship? :)
golfadj Posted August 13, 2010 #20 Share Posted August 13, 2010 They do ALL of your clothes when you are Platinum ? Yes wash and fold. Outstanding perk. We take about half the clothes we used to take and every other day our steward gets a bagful and returns it that evening. People get to see me in the same T shirt 3-4x on the cruise but it sure beats a heavy load self disembarking.
CrusinCyndi Posted August 13, 2010 #21 Share Posted August 13, 2010 how much does it cost to do laundry on the boat $3.00 per load to wash and $3.00 per load to dry. Takes quarters only.
Tbay-eh Posted August 13, 2010 #22 Share Posted August 13, 2010 Husband deterrent! I love it!! Actually, you misread it - it deters blackflies etc but if hubby likes fresh laundry smell like mine you may not want to use it.
