Cruise Ship Visits to Hobart

Thought some here may be interested which ships & when will be visiting Hobart over the summer...

Some of my staff get a bit miffed on these days as they loose their car parking inside the wharf shed for the day - they will get over it.

Rhapsody in for 4 days during March - seems like a long stay.

It's a mistake. According to the itinerary on the RCCL website, Rhapsody is only in Hobart for 1 day, 15th March from 10am to 4pm. On the 16th & 17th she's crossing the Tasman and on the 18th she's in Milford Sound.

Not strickly correct - try this web page

http://www.tasports.com.au/port_services/arrivalscruise.html

That has all the port visits for Tasmania. Your report is really all about carparking!

Although if you look closely at the schedule in that link, it also says that Rhapsody will be in Hobart from 15/03/2011 to 18/03/2011.

Maybe Tasports knows something that RCCL doesn't.

Hobart rhapsody of the seas/ wilhelmsen ship services/ macquarie 3 /15/03/2011 18/03/2011/ burnie/ hobart /bahamas. but it could change.

Well, yes, since I already said in my earlier post that Rhapsody will be crossing the Tasman on the 16th & 17th and will be in Milford Sound on the 18th,

there's obviously an errror on the Tasports website.

Having Hobart as the ship's next port after Hobart is a clue that there's a mistake there.

Burnie/Hobart/Bahamas????

(burnie the last port before it gets to Hobart.:rolleyes:)

(Hobart is the port of the day /15/03/2011 18/03/2011/)

(Bahamas is the Country of Registry,)

(macquarie 3 is the berth the ship will use,)

(wilhelmsen ship services is the Shipping Agent.)

Burnie/Hobart/Bahamas????

It's a cut and paste (of sorts) from the Tasports website. In full it's

Hobart rhapsody of the seas/ wilhelmsen ship services/ macquarie 3 /15/03/2011 18/03/2011/ burnie/ hobart /bahamas

and from left to right;

Port of visit = Hobart

Ship = Rhapsody of the Seas

Agent = wilhelmsen ship services

Berth = macquarie 3

Arrival date = 15/03/2011

Departure date = 18/03/2011

Last port of call = Burnie

Next port of call = Hobart

Country of registry = bahamas

The refernence to Hobart as the "next port of call" is the give away that there's something not right about the enty on the Tasports website, as she's not leaving Hobart & coming back, she's leaving hobart and going to Milford Sound.
