IPod/MP3 hookup to stateroom TV??

Am going on a Princess ship (Emerald), was wanting to plug my iPod in for a little music in room besides what is piped into room. Anyone know if the flat screens have a hookup's & types (RCA plugs, etc) access to play "my-sounds" instead of having to bring a laptop/iHome dock???

Mind, these connections were on the left side of the TV, which was the exposed side in my cabin. If your cabin has the TV on the opposite side, you might not be able to access them.

On most ships, those outlets on the TV's are disabled and you cannot use them.

thank you for the hookup response, may just bring a laptop with my iTunes loaded, but so appreciate it.

First, you can never predict for sure what type of TV will be in any Princess ship. Ships launched as late as 5 years ago still have standard TV sets. Newer ships may have flat screens.

Second, I have never experienced any princess ship that has “piped” music in any cabin

Third, most cruise lines buy TV’s with the ability of being put into “hotel mode” AND USE IT.

We take laptop with good speakers, stand alone IPod charger, “On Stage” power and speaker system and a universal remote to bypass “hotel mode”
