One Way Car rentals from Ft. Lauderdale

Has anyone done 1 one way car rental from Ft lauderdale and if so was it a decent price. This is going to Port Canaveral for a cruise.

Rented a car from Dollar at the Miami Airport and dropped it off in Fort Lauderdale the next day. After our cruise in December we then rented a car from Dollar again and drove from Fort Lauderdale to Orlando and stayed in Orlando a few days and returned the car at the Orlando Airport. We were not charged a fee because we dropped the car off from a different site either time.

We have do both from & too. We got off the ship in Lauderdale, took a cab to the airport, then rented a car from there. We had the car a few days & dropped it off in Orlando airport.

We also rented a Car from Cocoa Beach and dropped it off at Ft.Lauderedale airport and took a cab to the port.

It is very doable, the prices were ok, but you need to check around because of the big fluctuations in $. Also it's cheaper if you prebook online ahead of time.

I rented from Hertz at the airport in FLL. Oneway 24hr rental on a full size was around $45-$50, turned the car in at MLB (Melbourne FL), little over a year ago.

We always stay over a few days after our cruise. We rent the car at Fort. Laud airport and return it at Orlando airport. No problem whatsoever...

3-3.5 hrs. Worth Ave in Palm Beach is nice if you like upscale shopping.
