iancal Posted December 29, 2010 #1 Share Posted December 29, 2010 Just returned from our cruise. There were two couples. Each person brought 2 bottles for a total of 4 per cabin. No issue whatsoever and I think that we could have brought another one each but we did not want to push it. The wine was in our carry-on bags. I bought one bottle of wine at a port stop. It was confiscated but was returned on the afternoon of our last evening just in time for a pre dinner taste of the grape prior to going to dinner. All of the wine was consumed in our cabins so I cannot comment on corkage fees.
fleckle Posted December 29, 2010 #2 Share Posted December 29, 2010 I think the enforcement varies depending on the person who happens to be monitoring the scanner at the time you board at any port. That is why we see such conflicting reports.

reklawr Posted December 30, 2010 #5 Share Posted December 30, 2010 I think the enforcement varies depending on the person who happens to be monitoring the scanner at the time you board at any port. ...and....whether they are having a good day or a bad day. :D

Wine-O Posted January 2, 2011 #7 Share Posted January 2, 2011 the wine that is brought aboard; is exclusively for consumation in the cabin? Yes, unless you want to drink it in the MDR or other public areas of the ship, in which you would have to pay a $25 corkage fee.
