We are sailing on Pride on 10/6/2013 and while we are on board we like to book our cruise for the following October. We are either going to book the Pride again or the Splendor out of New York. My question to anyone who might know is when will Pride be getting her 2.0 upgrades done and which ones will she have ie: Guy's Burgers?(Sorry if this has already been asked on this thread). Thanks Gary

I emailed this question to John heald a few weeks ago and he said he didn't know exactly which 2.0 upgrades would be added to the Pride in early 2014 but when it was released he would post it on his blog!

Does anyone know if they offer photo package where they will take some formal pics throughout the ship and designated spots?? Would like to get some pics as we will be on our honeymoon and doing the formal night dressed up!! Thanks

They had several photo stations set up in the Atrium every night (including Elegant Night), but if you have a request for photos elsewhere on the ship I'm sure you can set it up with them once you get on board. I'd recommend going to the Pixels desk shortly after embarking and ask about having photos taken. Trust me, they'll take your money!

I have another question....On embarkation day (we have FTTF so Im psyched!) is the bar on the serenity deck open as soon as you get onboard? Im thinking as soon as we drop off our bags at the room we should head over there for cocktail before checking out the ship.

Yes, Serenity bar will be open. Almost all the bars will be open...the only one I saw closed was the Ivory Bar, and that's because they were getting ready for a wedding. Also, depending on what time you get on board your stateroom may not be ready...so take your bags with you to the bar! :D

I second this. We took our bags with us to the sports bar so we could watch the NFL playoffs...it eventually got too crowded to stay in, especially with everyone hauling their carry-ons.

IMHO the Serenity bar is the best kept secret of the entire ship. Once we discovered it, it became our go-to place to run for drinks. Not sure what your weather will be like when you depart...we sailed out of Baltimore in December but Serenity was open almost the entire time. Another good "hidden" bar was the one inside the casino...even though the casino was closed when in port, we often found the bar was open and EMPTY.

We are sailing in 22 days, and I am so excited! It will be our first time on the Pride. I like to plan things day at a time; so I was wondering if and where I can get a copy of the Fun Days ahead of time. For example, when we board on Sunday where can I go to get Monday's copy; so I can plan the day while sipping my cocktail! lol

One of the things I am most interested in is the gym schedule ie. classes and times. I also want to go to that shopping talk thing that I believe happens the first or second day on board?

I don't recall that they had "tomorrow's" Fun Times out for distribution early in the day, but it will be in your room after your turn-down service (time depends on when you go to dinner). If you are antsy, ask your steward to bring you a copy as soon as he gets them.

There was a break in the pride schedule end of jan beginning of feb, but now its gone.. its appears they may have cancelled the dry dock for the pride..not sure though... I was going to book for april 2014, I am glad I did not now, as I wanted to sail after the 2.0 upgrades, especially guys burgers...

Thanks for the info....I really hope our room is ready. I thought that was one of the benefits given to you when you purchase FTTF....that's one of the main reasons we chose to do it....

We just got back from sailing on Pride 21-28 July 13 and when we got home after debarking my wife started to feel ill. Today she was diagnosed with norovirus (the "cruise ship disease"). Is anybody else who was on that sailing exhibiting similar symptoms (vomiting, runs, etc)? I'm curious whether she actually has norovirus or if the doc just assumed it since she told him she just got back from a cruise. I really want to hear from folks, but I plan on emailing Carnival anyway so they can take any measures they see fit.

bigdog1958,

That break is gone now and now there's NOTHING after Feb 2014 when searching for Pride. When searching Baltimore the Pride does show up for April, but nothing at all for March? I sure hope they get it figured out......and hope they dry dock prior to our April sailing. :o

I got all excited when I read nothing was showing up for March 2014 but all March cruises are showing up again. :(

Does anyone know what time breakfast ("punch line brunch") is served till in the MDR?...Also how early?

I was wondering this myself. Not sure if the Pride even has it though. Anyone who has been on lately know?

Why is there no cruises showing up for next summer now for the Pride?

I don't know what happened for you, but I just checked and there are cruises every week of next summer going out of Baltimore on Pride. Maybe the website had a glitch when you checked?

The site was very glitchy earlier. It was showing no summer cruises anywhere for a while!

Yes. Punchliner Brunch is on the Pride. No regular MDR breakfast and lunch on sea days. It's the brunch only. I believe on port days, you can have regular MDR breakfast though. I sailed in March

of this year.
