Formal nights? Volendam-Alaska

This will be our first cruise on HAL. We will be sailing on the Volendam to Alaska in June. Which nights are the formal nights?

In 2010, it was Thursday night - Day at Sea - and Sunday Night - Glacier Bay Day.

That was the same situation in 2009. Second day out and coming out of Glacier Bay on Sunday.

The Pinnacle Grill follows the dress code for the rest of the ship. It is not an option for anyone who doesn't want to dress to formal code on formal night.

Since this is your first HA cruise be advised "formal" does not mean a Tux is the only acceptable attire for men. Read the dress code on the HA web site. A dark suit and tie is perfectly acceptable and even a Sport Coat with slacks and a Tie will get you by without raising eyebrows.
