Orlando to Miami. Anyone know of Bus Transportation?

Hi,

Will be spending a week in Orlando in late March and hope to follow it up with a Century Cruise out of Miami. Will have a rental car in Orlando and could drive to Miami, but thought it might be easier to take a bus.

If anyone is aware of the availability of bus service between Orlando and Miami, I'd appreciate knowing.

Thanks!

There is a bus service in Florida that will take you to the cruise ports of Miami or Ft. Lauderdale. It is called Cruise Connection; be careful when you google it as there are travel agencies with the same name. Look for the cruise2connect site name.

I wouldn't recommend a bus, most take more than 5 hours to make the trip, you could do it easily in 4, even less than that if you are accustomed to road trips and do not stop. If you rented with Avis, or Hertz, they both have locations downtown which would be a $10 taxi to the port of Miami. If you rent with Alamo, you return the car at the airport and board a shuttle to the port of Miami.

The drive is pretty boring but comfortable using the modern turnpike system that offers service plazas every 50+ miles or so.
