Slot Winnings in the Casino

On my first cruise on the Pride I won $1100.00. I thought that I had broken the machine when it seemed to jam. I told the lady next to me that I had broken it, and she told me to press the button....I had won the jackpot! That thing lit up and bells when off. I was stunned. HA!

Since then I have gone on 4 other cruises with no BIG wins. We always play for fun, so I never play more than I can afford. I would say that I usually plan for about $100 per day for losses. Sometimes I go over a little, but never more than 200.

I love the slots. Maybe one day I will hit the BIG ONE!:D One can dream;)

On the Paradise last Oct. I would sit down at a slot & start playing. DH would sit next to me & start playing. It ate my $20, he would win. I'd move, he'd follow & sit next to me. I'd lose, he'd hit & win. After 2 hours of this, I was down $80 and he was up over $400. Cashed out, went downstairs to pay off our sail & sign card and still went home with over $200.

I sat down at a 5 cent machine which I had never seen before it has chickens with eggs and I got 5 chickens and went to the bonus round and got to pick 5 eggs and I happen to pick the 5 highest eggs and won $800.00 on the very first night of the cruise. It was nice that I was able to play off that all week long and still have some left over to apply to my sail and sign card. Last year I was on a cruise and we were playing the quick hit 5 cent machines and right across from me all of the bells and whistles started going off and a lady won the progressive of about $26,000. Why couldn;t that have been my machine. :)

On one of our trips dd then 8 talked me in to going to the early bingo game, while wife and other dd where getting dressed. I bought her the $20 worth of cards and we won almost $900 . Wife tends to do good on the slots,

Just remember that playing the slots can be cheaper then walking around and buying drinks lol

what day on the cruise would you prolly say the best time is for winnings ? day evening ... 1st day or last ?

for me- i find its better early in the cruise. last two days are really tight.

Evenings are very crowded. even the last night.

Just before my first cruise 5 years ago I had a dream that I won $5000 on a slot machine. One night I was walking through and put $10 in a machine and on my last pull hit $50.00. Guess the decimal point in my dream was in the wrong spot

On our first cruise on the Destiny, a woman in our group won $1200 on the first night. On the last night, her husband won $1400 on the same machine.

The most I've ever won was $260 playing a quarter machine which I normally never play.

On a previous cruise, I walked up to a bright colored slot machine and put in 4 quarters. All kinds of lights began to blink and a clonking kind of sound could be heard in the machine. Wheels began to spin in the window and the people on either side of me watched. I waited and waited and nothing else happened .......................... so I left.

Have won some smaller amounts up to $250 on slots. On a family cruise we all went toplat bingo and when I was near the front of the line to get cards, a rude woman cut in front of me. She got the losing card and I won the $1000 jackpot. Since she was sitting close by, I could not resist thanking her!

The payout rates must be lower than Vegas right? Just saying - Loads of competition there.

It may not be much lower, but there's no doubt the losers outweigh the winners.

Let's put it this way, if Carnival wasn't making money, the ships would have something other than a casino in it's place.

Nice when you get to see karma in action! Good for you!

I NEVER play slots. However, one evening before dinner I sat down next to my GF/SO and played 2 cents slots. After about 7 pulls the machine started paying off. It kept going, and going, and going. We were to meet our friends for dinner (anytime dining) so my GF took off. (And I thought she'd come back - she didn't!) It still kept going (ding, ding, dinging!)

I wasn't going to touch it as it payed out. People gathered around and the casino staff came by and nobody could figure out what the payout was going to be. So, we let it run.

1 hour 20 minutes later it finally stopped. 2nd highest "possible" payout. Hey, that $1000 paid our bar tab for the whole week. YAY!
