Slot Winnings in the Casino

I've always graciously donated to the casino. My 9th cruise I was lucky to win $400 (50% of my spending) back, which I then went right to the spa (ont he Splendor) and have a few extra pampering sessions.

The last cruise was my 10th and I indeed was very lucky. Not quite as lucky as the gal who was close to 30G on the progressive quarter slots on the first night. No, I had to wait until the last day of the cruise and I was going to be more than content with walking way with $100 bucks, but no, I decided to play the $1 Wheel of Fortune and to my great fortune, the machine was very nice to me and kept giving me "spin" option (usually would only get 40-75 each one) and then when I was down to $134, down from $250ish, I opted to walk away with the $100.....I did walk away with the $100, but I also walked away with an additional $1600......*BG*...two double diamonds and a Wheel of Fortune..*BG*....it was enough to pay off the rest of the cost for the 11th (and bloggers!) cruise with my good luck charm (my friend) and her daughter (an adult) is coming with us too...

Now, I just hope the casino on the Glory is as good to me cuz I really could use another nce payout...perhaps something that would give me back most of the money I have put into the casinos in the previous 10 cruises...

I was on the 3rd sailing of the Dream in the Med. We had to skip Barcelona due to "hurricane" like ocean conditions and spent the night in the casino. Very worthwhile itinery change for me, I won the progressive on the Golden Monkey penny slot for just about 11K. BTW, Im a table player so it was a COMPLETE freak thing to be playing in the first place!

Same thing happened to me on the Valor once. I was sitting at a machine waiting for the raffle drawing at 9 pm my group had signed up for when we visited the casino on embarkation day. As the crowed gathered I put $20 dollars in what I thought was a regular poker machine. It turned out to be some sort of progressive game that I didn't know how to play and it kept asking me if I wanted to double up, triple up, etc. Not knowing what to do I kept hitting yes. Before you know it the light went off and I had won $1,500 dollars, and it was a nickle machine! I normally don't play slots but prefer the tables. I got lucky that time.

I always play the slots but mostly the nickle and penny slots. It's my entertainment while DH takes a nap. The last few times I have come away at least $50 richer. No big deal but it's nice to get paid to kill time. Once on the Fantasy I won $125 on a nickle machine....took my money and ran!

My grandmother always has luck on the progressive slots and walks away a few hundred bucks richer.

I like the Wheel of Fortune. Last few times, I wont over $400 on one cruise and another time over $800 which was a lot of fun!

When the blackjack tables get busy, I usually meander to them and always have decent luck.

I won $96.xx on the nickel slots on CCL Liberty in October, I think it was the next to last day. I had won various increments of $20/$30 on various nickel/quarter slots over the course of the week. After taking out what I'd put in, I was up $50 or so for the whole week. Not bad! :)

On my first cruise 2 years ago (Fascination), I was very lucky.

I won the first slot tournament for $500

I won about $200 each night (1st-through 3rd night)

4th night I won a $5000 jackpot on a quarter machine

Played a bit more that night and next-won about $500 more

then won $375 on bingo

Left the boat with $7000 in cash -It was AMAZING--

Dont know how I was that lucky, because i realize gambling is usually a loss. It was just crazy. No luck like that on my last cruise on the Dream. But thats ok

On our first cruise on the Sensation the Casino was opened for less then 5 minutes when my mom hit for 2500.00 on a nickle machine.

A few cruises ago-- we were walking through the casino and I stopped to chat with new cruise buddies and my honey stuck 5 bucks in the machine. He hit for 500.00 on his first play. He cashed out and thanked the new cruise buddy....:D

Hey guys....I was just wondering what kind of luck people have had. IF you haven't won yourself what have you seen others win.

I am bored and looking for a new topic to read about......lol

$400 on the Dream last year playing penny slots. Thank's, some of the topics are kinda boring.

Slot machines are for people with poor math skills.

Funny!

Lucky for me, i am canadian and don't pay taxes on winnings !

The casino took a lot back on the other nights... but left ahead.

On my first cruise (SS Norway), I lost $36 in quarters in less than 30 minutes. I was trying to budget my money and decided to walk away before I lost any more. The next evening I played Bingo with my friend/roommate and won 1/5 of the $225 pot ($45), but at least came out ahead from the night before loss. I still remember what my Christian friend said to me: "God gave you your money back!" Of course I still went to the casino after that, but limited my spending. I now tend not to spend a lot of time in the casino.

On our last sea day on the Legend in December, I hit a $1 slot machine for $1,080. Paid nearly all of our S&S bill for the week, which included my gambling plus all our photos, excursions, drinks, etc. I usually play only the penny and nickel slots, as I had done that week, but ventured to that machine because DH had heard someone else had won on it.

I love reading about people's winnings. On the Sensation I won $760 on a quarter machine, NCL Pearl $350 on a 2cent machine and on the Legend $800 on a nickle machine. No great hits, but always enough cover most of my on board expenses and more quilt free play!
