Eng23 Posted February 12, 2011 #8 Share Posted February 12, 2011 How about going into the past and pulling out a part of a former ship's name? Maybe Song of the Seas? Maybe use a celestial name since stars used to be used for navigating, Rigel of the Seas? Orion of the Seas?

Pat&Liz Posted February 12, 2011 #13 Share Posted February 12, 2011 My favourite name from when Oasis' name was still in question was Maximum displacement of the seas. I think a follow-up ship could be called Maximum Occupency of the seas. :D;) For real, I think they should pick something that reflects the growing family-orientated features of the ships. MiniMom57 Posted February 12, 2011 #16 Share Posted February 12, 2011 The names of the sunshine calls ships will probably end up having nothing to do with the sun, moon, or stars! The most recent class of ships was originally called "Genesis", and they had that contest to come up with the new names, which obviously have nothing to do with genesis: new beginnings, origin, starting point.
