Aquahound Posted February 18, 2011 #27 Share Posted February 18, 2011 Well, if Carnival was our only option, what would waiting another year accomplish? By the way, I voted take the cruise.

navychica Posted February 18, 2011 #30 Share Posted February 18, 2011 While I've heard some good things about Carnival, I've also heard it described as "Animal House on a boat". I'm in college and don't have to pay loads of money if I want an Animal House experience lol. While I know some people enjoy it, I've heard enough negative to make me want to spend my money elsewhere.
tchrchgo Posted February 18, 2011 #31 Share Posted February 18, 2011 I have just read several post how some people will NEVER cruise with Carnival. I could not imagine hating a cruise so much that I would never under any circumstance cruie that line again. I was just wonder if the choice is cruise Carnival or no cruise for awhile whould these same people not cruise. I was one of the "never again" for carnival, and I can unilaterally say I would not cruise at all if the only choice was carnival. BUT.... as I DO have other choices, that is why I choose to cruise RCCL. Although RCCL has become too much like Carnival lately. If my RCCL cruise in April is too "carnival"-ish, I will move on to a new line.

deborahjo Posted February 19, 2011 #34 Share Posted February 19, 2011 Why is this on RCI? To me a cruise is a cruise.
skandls Posted February 19, 2011 #35 Share Posted February 19, 2011 I would not do a less than 7 night cruise on Carnival. And I would make sure it was a newer ship. We did a 4 day on the Paradise. The ship was very old and not well maintained.
