Passport To Value

I got my Captain's Circle email which talked about this discount booklet. Is this only for elites or do Gold members get it too?

With you in mind, we've made a few changes to our onboard Passport to Value Booklet. First, we added extra savings — for a total of over $400. Then, we gave it a fresh, new design. So look for the new booklet on your next cruise.

The new passport was launched in January of 2011 on our first voyages of the season. Passengers were happily surprised when they found the newly designed blue passports in their staterooms — and even more impressed once they realized that they now contained even greater savings. Inside, you'll discover 30 unique discount cards that you can use in a wide variety of venues aboard our ships — in our boutiques, relaxing Lotus Spa, Casino, and more. Plus, there's an onboard sweepstakes on the back panel, where one lucky passenger per voyage could win $150 in onboard credit.

The new passport also contains a Photo Countdown, which allows you to receive FREE photos. Then there's the 2-day sale with an extra savings of 10% off your tax- and duty-free purchases, free jackpot bingo ticket and the coffee card, which offers greater savings, plus a free Thermal Mug!

With these additional discounts, you're sure to find the perfect gifts aboard your Princess ship — and save money while you're at it.

I found it handy to wedge open the balcony door between us and our friends last cruise. :D

hahahahahah.... yes, it is fairly useless and everyone gets it. Some TAs used to give a coupon booklet that had the much valued "buy 1 get 1 coffee card" coupon in it. That has been, woefully, discontinued

I pitched mine right in the trash when I found them in our cabin. Totally worthless IMHO. :(

Not totally worthless. A high rolling oenophile, and there are apparently many of them, would surely like 15% off a bottle of Opus I:rolleyes:

The offer is if you buy a coffee card ,you get a free thermal coffee mug.

I was curious about this too, thanks for the reply.

Nothing will beat the now removed BOGO from the TA version, but if I have to pay full price for a coffee card I might as well get the thermal mug! I will actually use one of those coupons for once!

Which, of course, you would have to wash if you use it. I cruise to get away from that. :)

As the others have said, useless unless you're planning to spend a whole lot of money on photos, spa, etc. anyway.

the way things are going, having to wash our own dishes could be one of the new money saving features that ships roll out for "passenger convenience" (LOL). We could have them done for an up-charge to our ship account!

Maybe they could put a dishwasher in the laundry room. :) Just the thought of drinking from an unwashed cup or mug has me going "Eww..."

Pam, I usually just wash my coffee cup or wine glasses while taking a shower :D Saves me time from waiting for the Steward to bring more and saves the ship water.

While most of the book had no interest to me the one I did use was the Photo Countdown. I saved myself $50. It was buy 4 get one free, buy 3 more get one free, I think the rest was buy 2 get one free and buy 1 get one free. I only used the first two free and it would cost alot to get all the way to the top of that one considering most pics are $25.

While most of you would not be interested in that coupon it was great for me. It was mine and my DH first cruise and I wanted lots of pics.

I totally agree. Same with the Coke containers/mugs that people get when they buy a soda card. I always wonder when I see them, "When was the last time they washed that?" Always grosses me out when the bar tender handles something like that when he has no clue where it's been, then handles my glass after it. :p
