who sails souther caribbean?

Recommended Posts

All of the main cruiselines- there are 6 or 8 (HAL, Celebrity, RCCL, Princess, Carnival, NCL, etc) . The ports in the South- probably Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao are the first listed.

Departure ports are typicall Ft Lauderdale, Miami, and San Juan. Somewhat less from other ports.

To do a proper southern Caribbean itinerary from Florida usually requires a 10 day (or longer) cruise (they cannot get to enough ports in 7 days to make folks happy). For those that want a true Southern Caribbean experience in 7 days, they should consider cruises that embark from the port of San Juan.

P&O sail from Barbados. go to http://www.cruisetimetables and plug in your preferred ports from the second list. This will give you the ships calling there and their itineraries. EM

That is true, but these cruises are very oriented towards Brits (not a bad thing). Most of the passengers on these P&O ships fly-in to Barbados on charter flights from the UK. We would not normally recommend these cruises for fellow Americans unless they want a real British experience... which can be a lot of fun. P&O does not generally market in the US to Americans.

Well, the OP is from Canada, I thought she might be able to relate to the Brits, and appreciate the itinerary. EM

There are also the ports of St. Lucia, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada. (and probably more that I can't think of quickly.)

And Antigua, Anguilla, St. Kitts. :) A lot of cruises will also include one or two stops at island we would normally consider "Eastern" islands like St. Thomas, St. Croix, or St. Martin.
