TourDeCruise Posted March 28, 2011 #2 Share Posted March 28, 2011 Vicki, The link works. Thanks for the information. Hopefully the new ramp is more user considerate. A passenger picks up speed going down that decline on the current ramp. And hopefully Celebrity is coming back to Baltimore. The poster mentioned an Azamara representative along with Royal Caribbean representatives, but did not mention a Celebrity representative. How are you doing? NJ Fred Posted March 28, 2011 #3 Share Posted March 28, 2011 My fingers are crossed that this ultra convenient port lures cruise ships. Sailing from the Port of Baltimore was leagues better than NJ or NY. It certainly beats the odyssey of flying and all the relevant aggravation that accompanies it. Go Maryland! I love sailing out of NJ (Bayonne). Only a tad over 1 hour to the port from the Jersey Shore. Baltimore is about a 3-hour drive.
Morris4me Posted March 28, 2011 #5 Share Posted March 28, 2011 We live about 1-1/2 hrs from Baltimore which would be so convenient when cruising rather than having to deal with airports and airline hassles, not to mention the money we would save not having to fly. I'm sincerely hoping that the cruiselines will bring in more ships and itineraries. Those that are currently offered are disappointing to us and not worth the cost. riredsox Posted March 28, 2011 #6 Share Posted March 28, 2011 I love sailing out of NJ (Bayonne). Only a tad over 1 hour to the port from the Jersey Shore. Baltimore is about a 3-hour drive. We live in RI and while Bayonne is alot closer I feel like I am being robbed when it comes to parking in NJ. Even a park n cruise package is too expensive in Bayonne:eek:. I second Go Baltimore!
