Great time on Dream......but cigar smokers are third class citizens

Recommended Posts

My family and I had a wonderful time on DreAm. Food wS great, service better by far than RCCL and yet the only area for me to smoke my beloved cigars was outside in the wind. There was no bar service and even there other pax looked at me in disgust as I smoked.

We are on Magic in september, is it the same there or is there a proper cigar bar?

Is there anyone at Carnival I should write to about this or ate they all non smokers. Are cigar smokers really that evil?

could you have taken a drink out there with you??? and you still had a place to smoke your cigar right?? it doesnt sound any different than not being able too smoke in public places anymore. so you had your cigar and could have had a drink in your hand when you went too smoke it. sounds like you had a chance too do both .

That's not quite the case. The smoking area on the Dream Class is outside... rather uncovered. If the weather is inclement there is virtually no where to smoke a cigar. Cigars are not permitted in the limited area of the casino that's designated for smoking and the piano bar is non-smoking.

Your right (daughter smokes cigars) there is no place to smoke cigar other than the casino and outside or on your balcony. My daughter used my room balcony (we get her inside as she is single person in her room and not care what type of room she gets) all the time to smoke her cigar lol They should have a cigar bar, on RC ships they have cigar bar and I tell you its quite quaint and nice....I also love the smell of cigars but hate cigarette smell lol

I love the smell of a cigar and the taste of them too~ I always smoke a cigar while cruising~! You could have stood by me and I woudn't have complained but you might have gotten annoyed with me sniffing at ya~;)

You may love the smell of a cigar but if you did a poll, I would bet that the description most people would make of the smell of a cigar would be disgusting, nauseating, awful, makes me want to kill the smoker, etc. And that would be the people who are being nice.

If you rate smells on the level of disgustingness and bear in mind that I do not smoke and do not like the smell of cigarettes, I would give cigarettes a 90 and cigars a rating of at least 10,000.

The topic of this thread is not your feelings about cigars... it's a discussion of locations on the Dream where people are allowed to smoke.

So many threads dealing with anything to do with smoking get deleted because folks don't stay on topic... just sayin'...

There was an area outside the casino on the dream port side mid ship

Had little tables I along with several others smoked cigars there. .... there were a couple of the ships officers also smoking there

I thought that was under cover

Maybe not as I'm usually have been enjoying some cocktails by that time

I would rather smell cigar smoke any day of the week than cigarettes.. Just my thoughts.. Cig smoke is way worse than pipe or cigars...

I believe you are speaking of the Lanai and that is where myself and others smoked cigars in Jan. One night the way the wind was blowing that side was closed but the rest of the time no problem. Also there is a bar right inside the doors that had music and a small dance floor.
