We are flying in and out of this airport next month for the first time. When we fly out we will be going to Frankfurt which should make it fairly staightforward.

Is the airport small and easy to get around? Will arriving one hour in advance be fine for a local flight to Frankfurt? thanks

It is small and easy to navigate. However , when we were there , the security lines were HUGE! I wouldn´t feel comfortable arriving only an hour early , but I prefer wating a bit to being stressed. We were there in 2008 , so it´s been a while.

We found airport very easy to navigate through. We flew in on a Friday and departed on a Saturday. Have read that if you depart on same day most of the cruise ships get in, the line ups are very long, we departed a day after our cruise and just walked in to the airport.

Oops, never thought about cruise ship traffic because we are doing a land tour. Your post prompted me to check the cruise schedule and our flight. We are fine for cruise traffic as the ships appear to dock after our rather early 05/14 650AM flight.
