:D Not much to say, the internet keeps dropping out :p

Sea day 2 and the weather is awful! It's cold, wet, windy and miserable. Wasn't much better yesterday but it's deteriorating by the hour. Seas are a big lumpy (about 3 metres) but as expert cyclone cruiser :D it ain't bothering me. A few sickies about thought. Pool bar had water in it at sailaway. The water was freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezing.

Food has improved OUT OF SIGHT since my last P&O cruise. Even the buffet is great.

No comparisons to other cruise lines with the ship, but I like her :D

Oasis is free

Casino is paying :D

I'll write more when I get back. Hope the sun comes out soon :(

Hope the Casino is paying well Deb, cause by the sound of it you might be spending a bit of time in there... it is probably a lot warmer ....hehehe:p

Seriously I hope it warms up for you.... but I am sure you are enjoying yourself anyway..

Hi Deb

Sorry to hear the weather isn't great :( How quickly it changes in a week as last week we had fantastic cruising weather.

Yeah, the internet was so slow. I ended up going to the cafe outside the terminal in Noumea. Just buy something and they'll give you a code to use their internet for free...much faster and cheaper than the ship :).

Just about to set sail from Isle de Pines. Finally made it after missing it last cruise :D Nice island, beautiful sand...........water not so warm!

Warmer today, wind gone, partly cloudy. Good day!

Island night tonight. P&O always do that well.

Had dinner at Salt Grill last night. ROLLED out after a very yum meal. Yeah it's gone up to $40.00 but the food is great and huge servings!

Casino still being kind to me :p

Debs

Glad to see the weather has improved.

Tell me can you by cigs on board at duty free.My guy is not sure and P&O was just as unhelpful when I phoned them.

Good cruising.

Hi didanz

I just got off the Pearl on Sunday and there were cartons of duty free cigs available for sale but only at the end of the cruise. Get in early to buy them too as they sold out of the more popular brands quickly.

You can buy them by the packet at AUD11.50. Or by the carton at about $79.00, however, if you buy by the carton you can't get them until the end of the cruise with your alcohol.

Beautiful sunny, warm day in Noumea today. On our way home now :( Had lots of fun today. Just watched Pirates II production show which was very good.

Hope our last 2 sea days are better than the first two! :D

Sux to be home :( I could have handled another week :p

Ship is fine, food improved from the Jewel cruise last year, Waterfront great, Salt Grill great, buffet breakfast and lunch great, buffet dinner hmmmm pretty ordinary, afternon tea in waterfront yummy, tenders suck!! (luckily only one island), entertainment good, casino paid out!, drinks good, staff good, passengers primarily good (OK so a few got their booze cut off often LOL), made lots more new cruise friends, coffee in The Cafe great, coffee in Charlies Bar was yuk (how they stuff it up is beyond me!), enjoyed watching a movie on MUTS yesterday, oceanview obstructed 9121 nearly no obstruction , production shows great, entertainment was good too......no complaints from me, wellllll the weather could have been a tad better :D

Didn't do ship shorex. In Noumea, we hired a zippy fast zodiac boat for 1.5 hours at $15.00 pp with a driver who was very informative....lots of fun and saw turtles basking on the surface. Then we hired those little buggy car thingys for 2 hours which were heaps fun (even though I stacked mine ....just a little rear-ender into one of the others LOL, all good!). Bit freaky driving on the wrong side of the road! They were $110 for two persons for two hours. Booked both of these in the cruise terminal.

Oh for you balcony/mini-suiters.....they rope off the pool deck at night over the rooms....of course, it's such a temptation to stand there and tippy tap on your rooftop LOL Nahhhhh didn't but it was tempting hehe

Would do another shorty on her if the price was right :D

That's my review :p

Hehe....oh Debsta, you ARE 'NORTY'! :D

Thanks for the review and glad you enjoyed your cruise. I've been too lazy to do one this time.

Just goes to show - a ship doesn't have to be new to be beautiful! :) Do you know if Zoltina-J staying on the Pearl, Rose?

She is on the Pearl until the 28th July. Then takes leave before returning. I think she'll stay CD on the Pearl as it is now her preferred ship...yay!
