Ha ha, Stacey. . . Mrs.Radio was not able to come with me on Allure, but is planning to come with me on Explorer in November ;)

 

My brother and his wife are sailing this week, and I was able to reserve a Cabana in Labadee ! Woo Hoo :)

Yes I do. . . Any and all requests. . . However, I seem to be unable to get food pics to come out right. . .

 

I should be (trying ) to get ALL Public Areas of the Ship. . . My previous Album (Oasis Mar 2010/ Jan 2011) will have many areas and cabins.

We left the Lorton, VA Station at 4PM, and are heading south. The internet connection is in and out. . .I should be able to post a few photos of the AutoTrain Station when we get into larger populated areas. . .

 

I am using my Mobile HotSpot and my Laptop. . .

 

There are about 15 Motorcycles coming down with us on this trip, and only about 150 Cars.

 

All passengers that ride on the AutoTrain MUST have a vehicle. . . There are other Trains that go to Florida for those who do not want to take their car (Or Bike)

 

We just passed Frederickburg, VA and we should be at Richmond by 7 or so. . . Our sceduled time in Sanford, FL is 9AM tomorrow morning.

Hello everyone. . .The train is a nice way to travel. . .The pros are:

 

Its Relaxing-

The food is good-

I don’t have to Drive 995 miles !

I don’t like to fly. . .

I sleep like a baby. . .

 

However, the biggest con is that it’s not that easy to get a strong WiFi signal. . .

 

 

It has been tough for me to connect to my server, so I can post a few pics, but I was able to take care of that and we should be good now.

 

I don’t know if I like being on the Allure (Sub Section) of the Royal Caribbean Boards. Here is why. . . Cruise Critic fans that love Royal Caribbean may not make it over to the Allure board. I think that there may be many that will miss the thread. . .

 

 

Oh well, let’s move on. . . We are between Roanoke Rapids, and Rocky Mount NC. . . We are speeding south at about 70 MPH. The AutoTrain is Non-stop, and we hope to be at the station early tomorrow morning.

 

The scenery is not as good as it will be on Sunday, but each mile gets me closer to the Allure of the Seas. . .

Thanks for offering to accommodate reasonable requests. My requests aren't so reasonable, so please don't go out of your way on my account. But if you are in the neighborhood...

 

Random requests for photos:

 

Deck 11, aft, there's a public balcony that overlooks the aqua theater. I have seen pictures of the balcony, but the deck plan shows a spiral staircase on this balcony Others on this board have said it's a staircase that's just for staff. If you happen to be out there, I'd love a picture of the staircase.

 

Sorrento's offers "build your own pizza". If you happen to be there, I'd like to see pictures of the toppings they offer, if they are on display. If you can get a shot of a written list of the toppings offered that would be helpful too.

 

The Wipeout Cafe offers a taco/nacho bar. I haven't seen a decent picture of it.

 

Obviously, I can live without these. But if you are in the mood/area, I'd appreciate these photos more than is probably heathy.

Good morning everyone. . . We are passing through Jacksonville, FL and we are scheduled to arrive on-time at the AutoTrain Station in Sanford ,Florida.

 

 

I slept really good last night. . . .for 2 hours at a time. . . Oh Well. I’m sure it will be better on Allure tomorrow night. >NOTE< to Radio. . .try not to drink so much coffee after 7PM. . . Ooops

 

 

The weather forecast for today is sunny and warm (90F) so I will try to get a few pics of Oasis of the Seas as she leaves port this afternoon at 4. . .

 

I will be staying at the Hyatt Pier 66 tonight, but I might ride down to the Lago Mar resort (near the inlet) to watch Oasis sail away.

Sail away is always much better when the weather is on your side, and I really like the feeling when a ship leaves your home port (especially when you are on the ship!)

 

I will also try to get a few pics of “MY” Ship when she comes in tomorrow morning, but it’s a little tough to get clarity when it is 5AM. . .

No worries. . . I should be able to get all of them. . .You have me scratching my head about the "Spiral Starcase" The only 2 I know of is in the Casino(Deck 4), and Concierge Lounge (Deck 11)
