Infor on Stockholders OBC

Hi, I just need some claification on the OBC you receive if you own at least 100 shares of Carnival Stock.

I currently receive obc for future cruise deposits and also a military obc. I have talked to several people and have received different answers to my question. ( I have also email to Princess but I have not reveived a response yet)

The form states the Following:

This benefit is available to shareholders holding a minimum of 100 shares of Carnival Corporation or Carnival plc.. This benefit is not transferable and cannot be used for casino credits/charges and gratuities charged to your onboard account.

In the past my obc were combined and I used it to pay for on board purchaces including out daily gratuities. We don't spend a lot on board so I dont want to be in the situation where we would have more credits that we can use. I know that you lose any unused credits at the end of the cruise.

I wuold appreciates anyones experience with this.

Thank you in Advance for your help.

If you have any credit left at the end you can cash out. Sometimes the purser will issue cash, if not , visit the casino on the last day and open an account at a slot machine then request a "cash out" of the amount you have left and you can cash out at the casino cage.

Actually, stockholder credit and military credit are non refundable credits. So taking a trip the customer service desk to have them refunded will just waste your vacation time. The casino is you best bet with this IF you happen to have any credit left on your account that final evening. ;)

Just another question on this subject. Do you have to have the shares before you book, or can you buy them after the booking ? and when is the appropriate time to request the OBC on this , our military OBC is already on our cruise personalizer for our cruise in a few months. Thank You.

You can request the shareholder credit any time after you have booked the cruise. I believe they want the request submitted no later than 14 days prior to the cruise. I've already requested and received confirmation for my credit for a cruise in September and also next April.

No, you need not own them before booking your cruise.

We've had confirmation that the shareholder OBC of $250 has been applied to our sailing next month.

All that I can see on the personaliser is the FCC voyage amount of $150 and nothing else. Is there somewhere else I should look or does the shareholder credit not show up.

We have printed out our confirmation and will take that with us.

Hope someone can steer me in the right direction.

Take your confirmation papers with you and get a printout of your accoiunt on the ship. It will show up there, if not, you have your confirmation and they will correct it.

Thank you and also Paul for your information.

I thought it would show up on our on board credits but obviously not.

Again, these boards are a wealth of information.

Once we purchase the 100 shares of CCL, how do we go about getting the OBC's for our next 3 cruises?

all u need to do is get in touch with the captain circles section and they will sort out the obc for you after you have sent them the copy of share holding certificate

This link tells you everything you need to know about getting the benefit applied to your sailings: http://phx.corporate-ir.net/External.File?item=UGFyZW50SUQ9ODQyMTd8Q2hpbGRJRD0tMXxUeXBlPTM=&t=1

The Captains Circle people/section have nothing to do with the shareholder OBC ... see the link I posted here.

Not a Captain's Circle fundtion. There is a specific area responsible for the Shareholder OBC. Just follow the link that Camp637 provided.

So if you have any credit leftover (obc) you can cash out at the casino? I thought we would just lose it if there was a leftover.

You can't just go to the cage and cash out. You must open an account at a slot machine with your cruise card then request an amount to be cashed out then go to the cage for your cash. Really quite simple once you do it. Or, I think, that you can just get chips at the cage then cash them in, howevcer, they will charge you a 3% fee. I have never approached it this way so I am not sure how it works.

If you get money from the cage, you just ask for whatever amount you want (let's say $300), you sign a chit, they give you the $300 in cash and your shipboard account is charged $309.
