Always remember you are not the only person who has the same idea.

 

If it was me I would not do this but in the end it all comes down to how much stress and risk you want to go with. Personally, I don't want to spend part of the cruise worrying about this.

 

There are many factors out of your control. That includes will the ship arrive to port on time, will the ship be cleared on time, and how crowded the port will be that day just to name a few.

 

No one can guarantee what will happen.

 

I would not consider it but some will say go for it.

I think you'll be ok on a Tuesday. Our flight last year on Sunday was at 11:30 and we had plenty of time. There don't seem to be a lot of ships getting back on a Tuesday. One year on a Sunday, we almost didn't make 12:30, so it is a big chance. We can't get one out this year until 4:30 but if there was a 10:50, I'd certainly try it.

We just got off the Oasis last week. We did the self debark which means you carry off your own luggage. We were off the ship by 7:30 and at the airport by 8:30 for an 11:10 flight so we had plenty of time.

Was wondering the same thing. We have a possible 12:00 Noon flight out of Fort Lauderdale on Thursday February 16th and according to CruiseTT.com, we are the only ship in Port Everglades that day. Worth the chance?

We have always been able to do an 11:30 flight out of FLL.

I would NEVER try a 10:40. Too much stress.

 

A Thursday-- will there be rush hour traffic at that time of day>
