rteichman Posted June 25, 2012 #131 Share Posted June 25, 2012 And some party it will be I am sure - anybody know if the ship is full or not?? It's not. I just changed cabins (upgraded to an Aft cabin) last week. There are plenty of categories with availability.
Mtim42 Posted June 25, 2012 #132 Share Posted June 25, 2012 Did you have to pay the standard price for upgrade or are there offers available?
rteichman Posted June 26, 2012 #133 Share Posted June 26, 2012 Did you have to pay the standard price for upgrade or are there offers available? I paid the full upgrade. There was only 1 aft room left so I did not think they would deal.

rteichman Posted June 26, 2012 #136 Share Posted June 26, 2012 I wouldn't have a clue where to start..................do you call HAL direct?? No you have to call RSVP, they chartered the whole boat so they control all the rooms. HAL could not care, they got their money already ;)

Boytjie Posted June 30, 2012 #139 Share Posted June 30, 2012 Just saw a friend post on Facebook that the visit to Casablanca has been cancelled by Casablanca authorities over 'concerns' for their safety in the country.
Boytjie Posted June 30, 2012 #140 Share Posted June 30, 2012 They will call on Malaga, Spain, instead of Casablanca.
EdmPair Posted June 30, 2012 #141 Share Posted June 30, 2012 I was curious so ran to the RSVP site and this means it will only be stopping in port in Spain and I thought you had to hit two countries for some treaty rule. Or am I wrong??
Boytjie Posted June 30, 2012 #142 Share Posted June 30, 2012 I was curious so ran to the RSVP site and this means it will only be stopping in port in Spain and I thought you had to hit two countries for some treaty rule. Or am I wrong?? Maybe you are thinking about US cabotage law for cruises leaving and returning to the same port - it has to visit a nearby foreign port at least. Not all countries have such limitations.
EdmPair Posted July 1, 2012 #143 Share Posted July 1, 2012 I was thinking the Jones Act but I was thinking it was some international treaty when it is only US Law. (Google is your friend.)
Boytjie Posted July 1, 2012 #144 Share Posted July 1, 2012 I was thinking the Jones Act but I was thinking it was some international treaty when it is only US Law. (Google is your friend.) Not the Jones Act but the PVSA, Passenger Vessel Services Act. :) Jones Act deals with cabbotage i.e. coastal shipping of goods.
Typhoon1 Posted July 1, 2012 #145 Share Posted July 1, 2012 They will call on Malaga, Spain, instead of Casablanca. Good. Let them spend money there instead of Casablanca.
COMBOY Posted July 3, 2012 #146 Share Posted July 3, 2012 The sad and funny part of this port denial is all the money the vendor and shore excursion operators lose plus loss docking fees, port taxes etc. All those tours operators should send their invoices to the port agent for reimbursement not HAL. Oh I bet their upset!!!
MDDCFlyer Posted July 7, 2012 Author #147 Share Posted July 7, 2012 I was curious so ran to the RSVP site and this means it will only be stopping in port in Spain and I thought you had to hit two countries for some treaty rule. Or am I wrong?? We had stopped in Gibraltar for a short while (no one allowed to get out) to get to the the none-EU port.
Mtim42 Posted July 8, 2012 #148 Share Posted July 8, 2012 Is there a certain place to look at reviews of cruises that you have had?? I have just done this cruise (Med to Morrocco that never was) and would like to see if anyone had posted their thoughts. It was my first gay cruise and I have come home with intent to save for the next, absolutely fabulous darlings !!
steveeagle Posted July 9, 2012 #149 Share Posted July 9, 2012 I believe there is an alumni site which also has pics. I too was on the same cruise and had a great time - Morrocco or no Morrocco! Looking forward to the next one already...
