Flying Out of FLL on the Sunday after Thanksgiving

Hi everyone,

 

My DW, DD, MIL and myself have a 1:45PM flight home on the Sunday after Thanksgiving.

 

Given the mayhem that may exist on that day would you recommend prearranging transfers to the airport?

Are you asking about transfers from Port Eveglades to Fort Lauderdale. If so, I would just take a taxi.

 

If you are asking about getting from the Port of Miami to Fort Lauderdale airport then I would do a private transfer.

 

Can you be a bit more specific as to what port you are arriving to?

You have plenty of time to get to the airport and there shouldn't be any road traffic. Just take a taxi.

I am arriving in Port Everglades and 5 ships are disembarking that day including the Allure of the Seas and the Carnival Freedom.

I would still take a taxi given that you have a 1:45 PM flight.

 

With that said, if you are concerned about the number of ships then you can arrange for a private car just so you don't have to worry about it.

 

In the end, do what makes you feel more comfortable because relative to the cost of the cruise it's not a large amount of money for peace of mind.

With that kind of traffic I would skip the privat car service and take a taxi -- two cabs if they bring lots of stuff! :rolleyes: The ride from PE to FLL takes about 10 minutes and should only cost $15 for the cab.

But remember the Allure Of The Seas is equivalent to three or more ships. :)
