Tipping guides in St. Petersburg and Berlin

Any advice on what kind of tip I should offer the guide/driver of our tours in St. Petersburg and Berlin? We're doing a two-day tour in St. Petersburg, and both tours are with SpB.

We did the same two tours with SPB in June, the guides were excellent. We tipped 20% which was about $45/pp in SP and $30/pp for Berlin. Have a greeat time in both cities!

The SPb website gives recommendations. 2/3 to the guide, 1/3 to the driver. 10% would be the minimum, but many tip more because the service is that good.

We did the 10%. that was discussed on our roll call and most felt that was a good tip. We did use the SPB formula and gave 2/3 to our guide and 1/3 to the driver.

Again, like you would pay them, fairly new bills that are not crumpled.

We'll be taking the Three Baltic Pearls tour - it's $299 for a walking tour of Tallinn, a 2-day tour of St Petersburg, and a bus tour of Helsinki - basically, you pay for St Petersburg and get the other 2 cities free! We don't pay until the 2nd St Petersburg day. My question is how much do we tip each guide? :eek:

I would break it down to the ala carte prices and tip accordingly. For instance the Tallinn tour is 20 Euros, so we tipped our guide 5 Euros for the two of us.
