Can three people be comfortable in a 185 sq ft room? Husband, wife and 16 year old daughter.

very much so. I done it multiple times.

Only issue I had as Dad was trying to get into the bathroom.

Usually, when dressing for dinner, I'd go first then leave the cabin and head out for a few drinks and some play time in the casino.

We did the same thing, husband, wife and 21 year old daughter. It was fine. We did have

a balcony though. Hubby and I would sit outside while daughter was dressing. No problems at all.

We do it all the time with our Son (now 19) but beware because they can be absolute slobs sometimes. I am always telling my son to pick up after himself in the room.

My husband, son and I did it once, son was 17 at time. Not a problem, at all. It was cozy, at night - but it reminded me of when we would go tent camping, only with room service.:D It was fun when we would all settle in for the night and lay there talking and then decide to order room service - just because we could.

Not when all three of you are in the cabin at the same time! LOL. It is tight quarters and depending on the length of the cruise, you will get on each others nerves. Like someone posted, it is better with a balcony.

We've had five of us in an inside stateroom and all of us are plus sized with one being about 375 lbs and the others at 200 lbs. It wasn't a problem for us but we are very organized travelers putting everything away as soon as we are done with it. If we were slobs, no way would it work. It's always amazing to me when I walk down a hall and glance into open doorways and find people have strewn things everywhere in their cabin. Bugs heck out of me not to be tidy.

My parents and I were once in a balcony room (162 sq ft) on NCL. It was tight, but we were okay. It helped that it was anytime dining, we didn't have to rush each other for the bathroom. For tours, we started heading for the shower way before we have to leave, about 1.5 hr. As for getting dressed, we managed to do it inside the bathroom.

Would never even think of it.....I need a balcony when i travel as a couple. One can read or ocean stare on the balcony while the other sprawls on the bed and naps or catches a shower. There's a time for togetherness and then there's being cramped. I'm not on holiday to have irritants and closedinness ruin it for me.

Bless all you posters who can make it work, but I ain't one of 'em.

Ever been camping? Two adults and two teen boys in a 8X8' tent. Kept all the backpacks and coolers in there too. 185 sq. foot stateroom - loads of room. Of course - the "balcony" was a bit bigger out in the woods, by just a few sq. miles.

Always cruise with my best friend and another friend of ours (1 girl/2 guys). No problems with 3 of us in one room. If you open the bathroom door and one of the closet doors it makes a small "dressing room". Giving you more room to shower and get dressed without having to take everything into the bathroom. The guys will take quick showers and get ready on the other side of the barrier while I take my turn. And I agree 100% with keeping the room spotless at all times!

We have done triples and quads many times.

Just be organized and it will be great.

We've figured out a few things.

-Don't overpack

-luggage gets stored under the beds

-everyone gets one drawer, one shelf, a shelf in the bathroom and 4 hangers It helps that DH packs on hangars and the rest gets triple hung.

-only bathroom 'duties' get done in the bathroom all primping gets done outside

-before we leave everything is put away

If we have an upper we will bring a 6pocket shoe holder (Dollar Tree) to use as a nightstand. Usually there is a hook nearby.
