Denali2003 Posted August 22, 2011 #1 Share Posted August 22, 2011 Hello. DH & I will be in Kinsale on a Northern Europe cruise in May 2012. We will have some time in Kinsale to shop & eat. Any suggestions as where to eat? Thanks :)

Rare VMax1700 Posted August 23, 2011 #3 Share Posted August 23, 2011 If your talking 'lunch-time' then I'd go with Fishy-Fishy. If you mean for an evening meal then there could be other options.
Chester & Brewster Posted August 24, 2011 #4 Share Posted August 24, 2011 I really like Cucina http://www.cucina.ie/index.html Fishy Fishy seems to rely on it's old reputation - I was watching the head chef on a TV cookery programme a few months back & he absolutely murdered a piece of fish! Really put me off going there. If the weather is good you could go for my favourite option of fish & chips from Dino's sitting on the harbour wall watching the world go by. KirkNC Posted August 24, 2011 #5 Share Posted August 24, 2011 Dino's really gets mixed reviews on TA, the poor ones seem to be service oriented. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g211878-d1104026-Reviews-Dino_s-Kinsale_County_Cork.html On the other hand, Cucina does pretty well on TA http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g211878-d1104024-Reviews-Cucina-Kinsale_County_Cork.html Kirk

You get used to it after a while  Go to the takeaway on the left of the main restaurant, don't bother paying to eat in, unless it's raining. Gotcha, I will remember that, I can handle take-out ;). Kirk
TMLAalum Posted August 26, 2011 #8 Share Posted August 26, 2011 We had a great meal and good service at Max's Wine Bar. Here is a link to it and from there you can find other Kinsale restaurants:http://www.kinsalerestaurants.com/restaurants/maxswinebar/index.php.
