Eating in Kinsale

Hello. DH & I will be in Kinsale on a Northern Europe cruise in May 2012. We will have some time in Kinsale to shop & eat. Any suggestions as where to eat?

We have not been yet (are going next June) but found lots recommend Fishy Fishy.

If your talking 'lunch-time' then I'd go with Fishy-Fishy. If you mean for an evening meal then there could be other options.

Fishy Fishy seems to rely on it's old reputation - I was watching the head chef on a TV cookery programme a few months back & he absolutely murdered a piece of fish! Really put me off going there.

 

If the weather is good you could go for my favourite option of fish & chips from Dino's sitting on the harbour wall watching the world go by.

Service is atrocious - this is Ireland! You get used to it after a while :rolleyes: Go to the takeaway on the left of the main restaurant, don't bother paying to eat in, unless it's raining.
