Does that mean there's no fun on Celebrity??? No party atmosphere??? Are we allowed to have fun and laugh?? I'm new to Celebrity so your post worries me........

Honestly, I'm not for or against flash mobs on cruise ships, but sounds like fun to me.

I don't understand how a 1 or 2 minute flash mob can ruin anyone's cruise that is advertised as classy and elegant...... Does this mean fun is not had when your classy and elegant?

don't worry there are some..lots that still like to have fun......have a great time...

we all know that.it was said right on the first post about it.it is still considered a flash mob. There was a flash mob organized in 2009 by oprah on michigan ave that was rehearsed in advance ,had 21000 dancers and was still considered a flash mob. The request for dancers was all over the internet and we had several relatives who live in the chicago area that took part in it.check out you tube for many other videos on flash mobs.none are really spontaneous as the dancing always has set moves and is always rehearsed in advance, just not all together in the same location.

well, excuse me....

Fun thread. While reading through it, I was waiting for someone to quote Footloose... can't believe it took until post 87 :).

I'm neither pro or anti flash mob on the cruise but I've got to say that it's a meme that has jumped the shark IMO. Might be fun if one hasn't seen or participated in one but personally, it's kind of getting a bit stale. Wouldn't ruin my day getting caught up in one but it'd have to be pretty spectacular to make me blink an eye versus just waiting for it to end.

Or more likely just walk away from it. I can't imagine the amount of practice that goes into one of the performances that come off as quite brilliantly done as opposed to a crash course and a rediculois looking half-baked exhibition that looks altogether unchoreographed. Anybody can dance, even a monkey can dance. But it's not always entertaining.

OMG, that Christmas one in the food court is my favorite! It was great! It actually gave me the chills. There was another Christmas one and I believe it was in Macy's and that one also gave me the chills! They were both excellent and my favorites.

I would be happy to see a flash mob in the Solstice casino. It looked like a bit of fun, and the casino was a great place for it.

Here is the one from the food court...I would have loved to have been there when it started....
