negc Posted August 26, 2011 #2 Share Posted August 26, 2011 doyou get a cabin discount on Celebrity if you are C&A on RCI? No, Celebrity doesn't offer balcony discounts to members of C&A or to Captain's Club members.
pcur Posted August 26, 2011 #3 Share Posted August 26, 2011 doyou get a cabin discount on Celebrity if you are C&A on RCI? What you get with Celebrity is a cabin upgrade when you book. In other words, you pay for a lower category, but your assigned cabin is a higher category. And, yes, you get the actual cabin number when you book. I've done this several times, the last being an onboard booking on a RCCL ship.

The pricing has gone up so standard balcony cabins and OV cabins are actually more than I paid for my CC cabn. Any suggestions to get a discount? Thanks. Janet524 Posted August 26, 2011 #5 Share Posted August 26, 2011 You get a 2 category upgrade, but it only applies to outside to outside cabins - not balcony. Also, if you're in a higher category outside cabin you cannot do a 2 category upgrade to get to a balcony cabin. IMO, X doesn't offer nearly as good perks as RCCL. To correct: it is a 1 category upgrade, applies to cats 11-4 only.
pcur Posted August 26, 2011 #7 Share Posted August 26, 2011 I'm not too sure why we're only discussing balcony cabins, since the OP did not specify what type. Yes, I've used this several times for ocean view cabins.
truffles2 Posted August 26, 2011 #8 Share Posted August 26, 2011 You CAN use your stockholder discount on Celebrity.
CVU Posted August 26, 2011 #9 Share Posted August 26, 2011 Thanks for this info. We have not sailed X yet but depends on the itinerary. As a D+ if we were to book on board a RCL ship for a balcony cabin and we are Stockholders.....is there any kind of discount? Or upgrade? From what I am reading- it is No and only Stockholder OBC? I presume the same $100 Deposit each for the cruise bookings. Thanks!

TimandJeanie Posted August 30, 2011 #11 Share Posted August 30, 2011 RCCL told me you cannot combine Onboard booking credit with the stockholders benefit. So stockholders have no more benifit that non stockholders. What a shame!!!! I e-mailed investor relations with my dismay Tim
