the ship docks pretty much right in the heart of the capital - walk out from the dock and you are in the city. If you dock at La Place Carnage, when you walk out fromt he duty free shops, yyou are directly in the city - a short walk from the cathedral and shopping, etc. Pretty safe area. If you dock at Pointe Seraphine, when you come out from the duty free shops, you are about a 5 minute walk from the same area as the other dock - you walk past the craft markets and then are in the city center. It is not a large "city" per se, but there is some shopping, some great old buildings, the cathedral, Derek Walcott Square, and lots of local eateries. It is fairly safe to walk around - as always, keep your eyes open, don't go flashing lots of cash or jewelry and you will be perfectly fine! Enjoy your trip!
