keithm Posted October 19, 2011 #26 Share Posted October 19, 2011 Only time I wear my pin is the day of embarking, so that the staff will at least give me some respect at that time. They are too tacky to wear around the ship. I just wear mine to officers/captain meetings on board.

Wacktle Posted April 30, 2013 #29 Share Posted April 30, 2013 Is there a Cruise Critic book on Queen Victoria? I didn't know there was such a book on the QM2. If anyone reading this is on the Baltic cruise V307, we're having an informal Cruise Critic Meet & Greet on 2nd June in the Commodore Club @ 2pm. Rare 3rdGenCunarder Posted April 30, 2013 #30 Share Posted April 30, 2013 I'll gladly trade my old style diamond pin for the new version. IMHO the old ones are rather tawdry. Really? Did I miss a generation of pins? I thought the ones before the cheap-looking flags were nice. They're small Cunard crests, and mine has a little diamond in it. (Yes, of course it's a real diamond!) The generation before that was a large Cunard lion. I did not like those and was happy when the smaller ones came in.
Rare Colin_Cameron Posted April 30, 2013 #31 Share Posted April 30, 2013 Is there a Cruise Critic book on Queen Victoria? There was. I put one onboard on the maiden voyage. Captain Wright put a welcome message in it. But I haven't seen it since. I asked about it on another thread recently but have had no response. Regards, Colin.
