I was watching the Today weather this morning. I was suprised by the Hurrican approaching Cancun. The path looked like it went over Roatan and the edge of Belize. I have searched this Board and can't find any comment. Surely someone cruise is being affected. Does anyone know?

I work for a travel company that gets all the cancellations, changes and waivers. Right now, cruises are re-routing. Carnival, Celebrity and a Princess have officially changed itineraries. Some drastically, some more minor. Most are for cruises that are already sailing.

Cozumel has closed the port to all large shipping for Friday. Most tourists have left Cancun and Cozumel already. Some of the ships are moving around the storm, i.e. instead of Cozumel, going to Costa Maya instead. Some are just picking up a sea day.

I always worry about the islanders during these hurricanes. Some of their construction is so flimsy, it wrecks havoc on homes and businesses. All best wishes they come through safely with minimal loses.
