shorton Posted December 1, 2011 #1 Share Posted December 1, 2011 Our TA recently passed along an e-mail offer from Oceania for us to continue on the March 29 Regatta cruise after completing our March 8 cruise on the same ship. The prices were amazing, but there's no way we could be gone for 46 days (plus having to give up post-cruise stay in Sydney). Thinking that Oceania might be having a hard time filling the Sydney-to-Papeete cruise.

Pity, because it is an an interesting and very different itinerary; Milford Sound in particular is an Oil destination..... at least it was for us. Rare LHT28 Posted December 1, 2011 #4 Share Posted December 1, 2011 It is strange ..people post they want to go to certain areas then when the cruise line gets the itinerary together It seems they have a hard time filling the ship EG: Alaska, New England & Canada Than thye have to lower the rates & add more perks to sell the itinerary Where are all the people that were whining they would do Oceania cruise IF Seems cruisers are a fickle bunch ;)
no fuss travel Posted December 3, 2011 #5 Share Posted December 3, 2011 We just got an offer of a back to back cruise to extend our Valparaiso-Rio de Janeiro cruise in February. We turned it down as we had already booked extended tours for Brazil.
Mura Posted December 3, 2011 #6 Share Posted December 3, 2011 It's funny but I've had the opposite experience. On our Auckland-Sydney cruise (this WAS a few years ago) people who were booked on the next leg were receiving offers to cancel. Most of them couldn't since they'd already booked their own air fare ... Not that they were inclined to give up the B2B anyway ...
