I have seen the question asked many times about whether you can get cash back from remaining OBC. Here is my recent experience on my last two cruises, Sept. and Dec. this year. On the last day of the cruise I went to Guest Relations and asked to cash out my remaining OBC. Any RCI gifted OBC is used as credit first before any TA or Visa OBC is used. Any OBC remaining from these sources is totally refundable. There is also no 3% surcharge as there is for taking out money to use in the casino.

Yes, we had the same experience on each of our recent 3 cruises on Radiance. It was refundable OBC. Guest Relations did not want to give us the cash at first because we did have a credit card on file and they told us it would just appear on our statement as a credit. When I told them that we would be losing double points since we used a RCI Visa card they agreed to give us the cash back. We had to do it in the afternoon of the last day of the cruise.

And their willingness to refund seems to vary from Ship to Ship...Serenade was very strict...would not let me have refund until late afternoon on the last day...Monarch got it about half way thru the 4nt cruise..and last week on Jewel early afternoon on the last day..no problem...like Patti & many others I use my RCL Visa for my onboard account & want to make sure I don't end up with a credit to my card from RCL...
