What to expect from 2 day Aussie coastal cruise?

Recommended Posts

You will always have a muster drill before sailing irrespective of cruise length. On longer cruises where extra pax embark at intermediate ports then only they have to attend the repeated muster drill .

On two - three night coastal cruise full normal dining rooms, entertainment, etc . So the activities on board are the same whether the cruise is for 2 - 3 nights or 107 nights .

When we did a weekend cruise on Pacific Jewel in July the muster drill was held on the Saturday, after we had sailed. This was the cruise that was delayed due to the high seas.

According to international law, the life boat drill must be held within 24 hours of the ship sailing. Most cruise lines do this drill prior to sailing.

We would be boarding as early as possible but sailaway is 8pm so how does that affect shipboard activities and dining? Is there still a muster drill? Would there be production shows? Do they have lectures and other activities?

From your list the only thing different is the lectures. Those normally tie into port visits, so as you won't have any of those, there won't be lectures.

There will be a welcome aboard show and other activities. I doubt very much that there would be lectures. There would not be any port lectures and the Scholarhship at Sea lectures are only on longer cruises.
