seems latest number missing rises to 29 from BBC at 10pm local monday uk

10 Germans and 6 Americans plus others i think the report

said of 4 crew and 25 passengers

very sad the number has risen again

the divers and rescuers still have some hope

they are doing an amazing and frightfully dangerous job

I was wondering how the figures could be so low, when many countries still reporting odd few missing, not including crew. Sounds like the divers think some are in the meeting point where the elderly couple were but they can't get to them... shame if so. :( An avoidable accident and loss of life. How could the passenger list not be up to date? Surely this would be available in the last port that was visited????

i am very surprised the manifest has not been tallied and validated still 4 nights after the disaster...

Costas accident happened on home ground and their staff should not have let anyone leave the island without ticking them off the list and double checking at

airports, ports hotels etc etc

cruise critic forum members are majority USA UK and Oz nationals so info

from other countries seems patchy on here

i am sure due to the angle of the ship that some people would have been

seriously injured and trapped in their cabins or hit by flying debris so

sadly i suspect there will be more bodies to be located.

the inside of an overturned ship resembles little of what you remember when you get on board, nor can you get out from a cabin when the door is now the floor and opens inwards...ugh i cannot imagine the horror

Did CNN update? Because half an hour ago they said only two Americans. Either way it's very sobering that any at all are missing.

It is still 2 Americans, a couple from Minnesota, but total is 25 passengers and 4 crew members.

I can't find any news about the Argentine couple that tried to give their child to another passenger, but she didn't feel she had a safe grip on the child and handed the child back....does anyone have any news about them? Are they among the missing still?

http://www.lastampa.it/redazione/default.asp

7th death confirmed in la stampa newspaper Tuesday

you can translate via links in English of course...

the heart-stopping night vision video is on there too

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wwmz9LN8wcE

there's still maybe a glimmer of hope that they may find alive some

survivor but the downgrade to recovery iso rescue by the CG is being

assessed and will be decided today i believe

thoughts go to all in the ghastly episode and the efforts of the divers and their teams is amazing and they will not stop until they feel they have no more options
