Restaurant secret deal

Sometimes you can get 20-25% off the specialty restaurants by going there in the evening and asking (on the night you want to eat there). It is not advertised in the daily planner. It all depends on how booked that particular restaurant is for a given evening and they won't give you a discount in advance. We could never get a discount for the Lawn Club but they offered discounts in Murano and Qsine on several evenings. We were flexible--if we got a discount we ate there, no discount and we passed for that night.

I kept seeing reference to a restaurant secret deal on anther thread. Will someone explain this to me?

Thanks, M

Celebrity will usually list any type of discounts (generally 20%) for the various specialty restaurants in the Featured Today inserts you receive inside the Celebrity Today you receive the night before in your cabin.

You usually get a free dinner in the specialty restaurants when you book a suite cabin. We did Normandie twice, and it was so unbelievable, we did it another 2 times. What we found remarkable was the service; they knew your name without even asking, it was impeccable. By dinner #3 were serenated with specials from the chef, and even asked if there was something we wished to enjoy that we did not see on the menu. Dinner # 4 was a special tasting dinner put together by the head chef, with gratis wine pairings, different from the standard one offered. It was devine.

Thanks – we didn’t see anything in the paper. Perhaps I needed to look more carefully. We did get an email, prior to sailing, to save some % by going the first evening, but passed on it.

During the week, we had a delicious dinner in Murano and a fun lunch at the crepe bistro.
