Terry in NJ Posted February 20, 2012 #1 Share Posted February 20, 2012 Sunday on the Southern route has us arriving at Princess Cays at 9 am. Can anyone tell me if Princess offers a Mass either Saturday evening, Sunday early or Sunday after we set sail? (We are sailing on April 7th, and the next day is Easter Sunday, so we'll be spending Easter on Princess Cays... sweet!) Thanks so much in advance for your help! 1025cruise Posted February 20, 2012 #2 Share Posted February 20, 2012 Princess does not offer religious services. If there is a priest who happens to be onboard, and offers, they will post it, but otherwise, they will just post about a self led group. They may have someone that will lead it, but it will be non-denominational. That being said, you are sailing on Easter, so there is a chance they may have a priest onboard due to that. Thanks so much in advance for your help! The line typically has a priest aboard for major feast..Christmas and Easter. Operative word id typically. We are leaving for a trans-Atlantic on Holy saturday and are curious whether we'll have Easter mass or not.
paul929207 Posted February 20, 2012 #4 Share Posted February 20, 2012 Princess usually has a Catholic priest onboard for Christmas and Easter. Other times it just depends on whether there happens to be one among the passengers. Often there will be a non-denomital service. Ajrls Posted February 20, 2012 #6 Share Posted February 20, 2012 Was on the Crown last year for Easter, and they had a priest celebrate Mass Easter morning in the Princess theater.
speedyjane Posted February 20, 2012 #7 Share Posted February 20, 2012 We did a Panama full transit in 2009 and were on board the Coral on Easter Sunday. A Mass was said in the Princess Theater. Someone played a piano and Easter songs were sung. It was very well attended. Anita

Princess does offer religious services for Easter, which was the question posed. From the Princess website: Inter-denominational services may be offered on Sunday by the ship's staff (Captain, Cruise Director, etc.). Princess places guest Catholic and Jewish clergy onboard for the following religious holidays. Catholic clergy will perform both Catholic and Protestant services when onboard.
